RANDOLPH — The team of Daryl Wadsworth and Sierra Beaver captured the Bettie Alexander Classic at Cardinal Hills Golf Course earlier this month.

Playing a 2-person best-ball format, Wadsworth and Beaver shot a 76, two shots better than the second-place team of Courtney Rappole and Colleen Reeve. Rounding out the top five teams were Kathy Taylor and Sue Martin with an 81, Carolyn Shields and Marylou Kula with an 84 and Barb Hill and Sharon Birtcil with an 85.

In the net division, Rita Newell and Mary Green claimed the top spot with a 61 after a match of cards. Helen Walgus and Wendy Huff placed second with a 61 and Marcia Derby and Julie Falk finished third with a 63. After a match of cards, Andrea Waddington and Pamela Cordosi finished fourth with a 64, while Grace Wheeler and Sue Bero placed fifth with a 64.

Waddington (No. 9) and Rappole (No. 11) were closest to the pin; and Alycia Lacki won both long-drive contests on No. 6 and No. 15.

The tournament coordinators were Hilary Wadsworth and Daryl Wadsworth, who wished to think bag attendants Braxton and Brayden Beaver as well as the scoring team of Monty Shields, Lucas Burch, and John and Stosh Gurzinski.

Next year’s tournament is scheduled for Aug. 6, 2026.
