SAVANNAH, Ga. — Isabella DeGolier turned in quite a performance at the 2025 USATF Junior Olympic National Championships, highlighting a fine effort by three members of the Chautauqua Striders Track Club.
Competing in the girls 15-16 high jump, DeGolier cleared 1.53 meters (5 feet, 0.25 inches), tying for eighth in height and ultimately placing 13th overall based on misses. Her mark was just shy of All-American status, underscoring her standing among the top high jumpers in her classification in the country.
Two other Striders — Elnora Barnett and Cloe Bennett — also represented the region at the nationals.
Barnett competed in the 15-16 girls 2,000-meter steeplechase, placing 16th overall in a strong field; and Bennett ran in the 11-12 girls 800, 1,500 and 3,000 meters, displaying solid showings across all distances and achieving a personal best in the 1,500.
In support of its youth athletic programs, the Chautauqua Striders Track Club is currently accepting donations of new or gently used running sneakers and spikes. Donations can be dropped off at the Striders’ office, located at 301 E. 2nd St., Suite 102, Jamestown.
