Babe Ruth World Series Gets Underway Today

The Babe Ruth 13-Year-Old World Series gets underway today at Diethrick Park in Jamestown. Stamford, Connecticut, and Broomall-Newtown, Pa., open the tournament at 11 a.m., followed by Stevens Point, Wis., and Eagle Pass, Texas, at 1:30 p.m. At 4:30 p.m., Tallahassee, Fla., will take on Australia. After opening ceremonies at 7 p.m., the host team will take on Centennial, Colo. On Sunday, Stevens Point will take on Price, Utah, at 11 a.m., Tallahassee will take on Port Angeles, Wash., at 1:30 p.m., Broomall-Newtown will play Australia at 4:30 p.m., and Eagle Pass will face Jamestown at 7 p.m.
