ALLEGANY — Cooper Freeman scored four goals in his season debut as Randolph beat Bradford (Pa.) 5-1 in the opening round of the Gator Cup.

Gavin Senn opened the scoring for the Cardinals (1-0-0) in the sixth minute from Cody Slade. Freeman then scored from Slade in the ninth minute and from Isaac Pihlblad in the 16th minute. Freeman completed his hat trick in the 22nd minute from Senn.

In the second half, Freeman scored again from Senn.

Randall Nottingham made four saves in net for Randolph.

The Cardinals will take on host Allegany-Limestone in Saturday’s final after the Gators beat Chautauqua Lake 8-0 in Thursday’s second game.
