Falconer Completes Pool Play 4-1 With 16-7 Win Over Maple Grove

BEMUS POINT — Waylin Goodwin went 3 for 3 with a double, a triple, two RBIs and three runs scored as Falconer finished pool play 4-1 with a 16-7 win over Maple Grove during the District 38 Area B Little League 10-12 All-Star Tournament on Thursday.
Jonah Johnson went 3 for 3 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored; Noah Nelson was 3 for 5 with four RBIs and two runs scored; Huxley Hale was 2 for 4 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored; and Aiden Rhinehart singled, drove in two runs and scored twice for Falconer.
Jayce Stewart, Nelson and Lucas Arrance combined on a five-hitter with 11 strikeouts on the mound for the winners.
Garrett Darr tripled and drove in two runs for Maple Grove (1-4). Rowan Bland, Carmine Maine and Darr combined for five strikeouts on the mound in the loss.

GERRY — A four-run first inning helped Gerry pick up its first win of pool play, 6-2 over Southwestern.
Brody Beichner hit a two-run single, John Czosnyka hit into an RBI fielder’s choice and Lane Woleben hit an RBI single for Gerry in the opening frame.
Mason Winchester singled and Logan Zambotti had an RBI for Southwestern.
