Cassadaga Valley sophomore Jocelyn Wintersteen was not the favorite at the New York State Federation girls golf tournament on Sunday after she finished tied for 12th at the New York State Public High School Athletic Association championships last week. However, it was Wintersteen’s day on Sunday as she outdid the competition at James Baird State Park Golf Course with a 3-over 74. Each of the competing associations sent the top six competitors and Wintersteen represented Section VI and the NYSPHSAA after her performance last week at the state championships.
