ELMIRA — Jamestown made it two victories in as many games Friday night.
And guess who played a major role yet again?
Justin Bremner.
The Canisius University outfielder collected three hits, including a home run, to lead the Tarp Skunks to a 7-4 victory over Elmira in a Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League contest at Dunn Field.
The win raised Jamestown’s record to 2-0 heading to an off day today.
Manager Frank Jagoda III will undoubtedly enjoy the respite.
The Tarp Skunks led 5-2 after four innings, finished with 14 hits and used effective pitching from five different hurlers.
Joining Bremner with three hits was Dom Costello (two doubles), while Nathan Borchardt and Cole Swift added two apiece.
Cohen Harris, Cole Schwochow, Christian Pencek, Jasean Brown and Warren native Brady Berdine shared the pitching duties. Berdine worked 1.2 innings, struck out one and walked two.
For the Pioneers, TJ Gramesty and Michael Palmer (double) collected two hits apiece. Four pitchers combined to allow seven earned runs. They issued seven walks and struck out eight.
