A Bemus Point youth is reaping the rewards yet again for his success on a highly regarded 7-on-7 football team.

Paxton Liddell is a member of the Pittsburgh-based PA Elite, which competed in the “Battle of the Border” tournament in Welland, Ontario in late April. Playing multiple positions, including quarterback, wide receiver and strong safety, Paxton delivered an outstanding performance, scoring multiple touchdowns on offense and collecting three interceptions on defense to help his team win the championship.

During the two-day tournament, the PA Elite played six games and secured wins over a strong squad from Nova Scotia in the semifinals, and capped off the weekend with a championship game victory against a team from Rochester.

For his efforts, Paxton was selected to the all-tournament team, his fourth consecutive national tournament earning such honors.
