Lyons Lead Red Dragons Past Frewsburg

FREWSBURG — Jessica Lyon went 2 for 4 with two RBIs and Cassie Lyon also drove in a pair of runs as Maple Grove/Panama beat Frewsburg 7-4 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 2 softball Tuesday.
The Bears’ Marleigh Stappenbeck hit an RBI double in the bottom of the fifth inning to tie the game at 4-4, but the Red Dragons (3-5, 1-3) put together a three-run top of the seventh to win the game.
Meg Ryan earned the victory in the circle with a five-hitter that included five strikeouts and six walks.
Teagan Nazario tossed an eight-hitter with six strikeouts and one walk for Frewsburg (0-7, 0-5). Nazario had two hits, including a three-run double, while Mya Carmen had two hits for the Bears.
LILLIE HAS BIG DAY

FORESTVILLE — Emily Lillie hit a three-run home run during the fourth inning to lead Forestville past Randolph 9-3 in Division 3 play.
Lillie finished 3 for 4 with a triple and four RBIs. Her home run turned a 4-2 game into a 7-2 game.
Carilene Sliwa went 3 for 3 with a double and an RBI, Megan Gruber went 3 for 4 with a double and an RBI, and Emma Hodkin went 2 for 3.
Gruber also tossed a six-hitter with four strikeouts and a walk for the Hornets (8-0, 5-0).
The Cardinals (5-4, 2-2) took a 2-0 lead in the first inning. Aliza Hind and Sadie Steward singled before Ryanne Bushey and Grace Arnold-Hill hit RBI singles.
Bushey and Hind combined for four strikeouts in the circle while Isabella Syracuse added a double at the plate for Randolph.
DELCAMP HOMERS FOR FREDONIA
SALAMANCA — Anna Delcamp hit a two-run home run in the third inning as Fredonia beat Salamanca 14-1 in six innings of Division 1 action.
Delcamp finished 3 for 4 with a double and the home run.
Danielle Palisin was 3 for 4 with three doubles, Jenna Fryberger was 2 for 4 with a double and Callie Draggett doubled for the Hillbillies (7-3, 4-0).
Palisin tossed a five-hitter with eight strikeouts and did not walk a batter in the circle.
Makenzie Crouse hit a leadoff home run and finished 3 for 3 with a double for the Warriors (1-6, 0-5). Skyla Dowdy doubled and Charli Ross singled in the loss. Ross also struck out four and walked three in the circle.
WOLVES TOP WESTFIELD LATE
WESTFIELD — Clymer/Sherman broke a 3-3 tie with a two-run top of the seventh inning to beat Westfield 5-3 in Division 2 action.
Baylee White walked to open the seventh inning and Addie Wiggers followed with a single. Janelle Burchanowski drove in the go-ahead run with a single and Wiggers later scored on a wild pitch.
Burchanowski went 3 for 4 with a double and an RBI; Wiggers was 2 for 3 with an RBI and two runs scored; and Kelsey Wagner doubled and drove in a run for the Wolves (6-0, 4-0).
Elli Bodamer earned the win in the circle, allowing eight hits and three runs (two earned) while striking out six and walking two.
Arielle Corbett went 2 for 4 with two RBIs while Mackenzie Schumaker was 2 for 3 with an RBI and a run scored for the Wolverines (4-4, 3-2).
Eva Gnadzinski tossed a complete-game seven-hitter with six strikeouts and four walks. Just three of Clymer/Sherman’s five runs were earned.
KOTA GOES DEEP FOR GOWANDA
SOUTH DAYTON — Gowanda took a 4-3 lead on an Addison Kota home run in the top of the sixth inning and beat Pine Valley 6-3 in Division 3 play.
Alayna Fish went 2 for 3 while Kota and Sophie Bobseine each drove in two runs for Gowanda (6-4, 3-3).
Gracie Eddy earned the win in the circle, allowing four hits and three runs (zero earned) while striking out four and walking three.
Madilynn Robertson, Ashlynn Silleman, Sandy Ivett and Danielle West (double) each had a hit for Pine Valley (4-5, 1-4).
Danica Farnham took the loss in the circle, allowing six runs (four earned) while striking out two and walking six.
FALCONER SUFFERS FIRST LOSS
FALCONER — Katrina Schrantz and Mylie Zaranek hit home runs as Falconer beat Franklinville 9-4 in the first game of a Division 4 doubleheader.
Emily Zaranek added a triple and Addison Calimeri doubled for the Golden Falcons.
Nylah Sharpe and Emily Rhinehart combined for the win in the circle.
Kaelyann Graves-Decker hit a home run and Alayna Spittler doubled for the Panthers.
In the second game, Lilah Cudney and Grace Cornell each doubled as Franklinville (6-5, 4-2) handed Falconer its first loss with a 5-1 win.
Mylie Zaranek doubled for Falconer (7-1, 4-1).
ZIEGLER POWERS BLACK KNIGHTS
SILVER CREEK — Kyla Ziegler went 3 for 4 with a double, a home run, four RBIs and three runs scored to lead Silver Creek to an 18-0 shutout of Brocton in Division 3.
Rylee Weiskerger went 2 for 4 with a double, a triple and two runs scored while Priya Sakpal doubled and drove in four runs for the Black Knights (6-2, 5-1).
Maddie Blair and Molly Becker combined on a two-hitter with eight strikeouts in the circle for Silver Creek.
Zoe Spiller doubled and Victoria Battaglia singled for the Bulldogs (0-8, 0-6).
