Red & Green Score 3 In 6th To Beat Dunkirk

Jamestown rallied for three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to post a 7-5 come-from-behind victory over Dunkirk in a Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 softball game at the Martin Road Athletic Complex on Wednesday.
Trailing 5-4, Allison MacCallum smacked an RBI single to tie it 5-5 and then Raegan Powers put the Red & Green ahead with a two-run triple.
Kaylee Keppel was the winning pitcher for Jamestown. MacCallum finished with two hits and two RBIs.
For Dunkirk, losing pitcher Kassidy Donisi collected a pair of hits and teammate Emma Ahlstrom added an RBI triple.

FREDONIA — Anna Delcamp pitched a gem in her first varsity start, leading Fredonia to a 6-0 win over Salamanca in a Division 1 game.
The sophomore allowed two hits, struck out nine and walked one as the Hillbillies improved to 7-3 overall and 5-0 in the division.
Fredonia scored a run in the third inning, two more in the fifth on Naomi Muck’s two-run double and three in the sixth, highlighted by Delcamp’s RBI single.
Six different players had a hit apiece for Fredonia, one of them a double by Callie Draggett.
Collecting the hits for Salamanca were Skyla Dowdy and Ayla Newark.

SCHUMAKER PROVIDES WALK-OFF SINGLE
WESTFIELD — Mackenzie Schumaker hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the eighth inning as Westfield beat Chautauqua Lake 1-0 in Division 2 action.
Eva Gnadzinski threw a four-hit shutout with three strikeouts and no walks for the Wolverines (5-4, 4-2). Fifty-six of her 80 pitches went for strikes.
Cayzlee Johnson nearly matched Gnadzinski zero for zero in the circle for the Eagles (5-3, 3-1). Johnson tossed a three-hitter with five strikeouts and two walks.
Schumaker, Gnadinski and Avery Smith had singles for Westfield. Smith led off the bottom of the eighth with a single to left field, moved to third on bunts by Reagan Weingart and Charly Mathews, and scored on Schumaker’s single to center field.
Karagan Fairbank had two hits and Johnson had one for Chautauqua Lake.
BAUER HAS GAME-WINNING HIT
SILVER CREEK — Kim Bauer hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh inning as Silver Creek handed Forestville its first loss of the season, 4-3 in Division 3 action.
Makayla Kelly reached on an infield single with two outs in the inning and eventually came around to score on Bauer’s hit to left field.
Maddie Blair earned the win in the circle for the Black Knights (7-2, 6-1) tossing a six-hitter with eight strikeouts and a walk.
Rylee Weiskerger went 4 for 4 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI while Kyla Ziegler, Priya Sakpal, Blair, Kelly and Bauer each added a single in the win.
Megan Gruber took the loss in the circle for Silver Creek. She allowed nine hits while striking out 10 and walking three.
Carilene Sliwa had two hits, including a double; Olivia Valentine had two singles; and Jade Work and Emily Lillie each added singles for the Hornets (8-1, 5-1).
JESSICA LYON HAS BIG DAY
BEMUS POINT — Jessica Lyon went 3 for 4 with a pair of doubles as Maple Grove/Panama beat Frewsburg 13-1 in six innings of Division 2 action.
The Red Dragons (4-5, 2-3) scored five runs in the bottom of the first inning. Alex Halstrom, Meg Ryan, Lydia Darr and Savannah Weart each had an RBI single while Lyon added an RBI double.
Lyon pitched all six innings, allowing six hits and one run (none earned) while striking out eight and walking one.
Teagan Nazario struck out seven and walked one in the circle for the Bears (0-8, 0-6).
Elysse Gruber led Frewsburg with two hits.
FALCONER HAS 4 EXTRA-BASE HITS
FALCONER — Augustine Krenzer tripled while Addison Calimeri, Emily Zaranek and Mylie Zaranek each had a double in Falconer’s 11-3 Division 4 win over North Collins.
Nylah Sharpe struck out four in the circle for the Golden Falcons (8-1, 5-1).
Morgan Kreinheder doubled and McKenna Ayers struck out one for the Eagles (1-12, 0-7).
