Cougars Prevail On Tiebreaker
CASSADAGA — The Cassadaga Valley boys golf team upended Olean via a tiebreaker at Cassadaga Country Club to highlight action in the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association on Friday.
Tied 27.5-all at match’s end, the total strokes were tallied and the Cougars had 251 compared to 269 for the Huskies.
Cam Bartman of Olean (15-11, 15-12) was the medalist with a 41. Jackson Marsh led Cassadaga Valley (6-17, 5-17) with a 44.

FALCONER — Behind a pair of 1-under 35s from Cannon LeGrano and Braiden Truby, Fredonia downed Falconer 34.5-20.5 at Breezewood Links.
The win raised the Hillbillies’ record to 25-1 overall and 16-1 in the division.
For Falconer (7-18, 6-11), Channing Brainard led the way with a 40, one shot better than Brodie Fenton.

BEMUS POINT — Fredonia’s Braiden Truby and Ryan Kelly shared medalist honors with even-par 36s as the Hillbillies beat Falconer and Maple Grove in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association golf Thursday at Bemus Point Golf Club.
Fredonia beat the Golden Falcons and Red Dragons 40-15. In the other match, Maple Grove topped Falconer 28-27.
Evan Steffen’s 40 paced Maple Grove and Channing Brainard’s 44 led Falconer.
