Catanese Has Big Day At Plate For Wolfpack
CLYMER — Tate Catanese went 4 for 5 with a double and five RBIs to send Clymer/Sherman/Panama to a 15-5 six-inning win over Maple Grove in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 2 baseball Thursday.
Bryce Hinsdale was 2 for 5 with a double, three RBIs and three runs scored; Gavin Burchanowski was 2 for 3 with two RBIs and three runs scored; and Mason Groters drove in a pair of runs for the Wolfpack (8-4, 8-3).
Catanese allowed seven hits and five runs in six innings while striking out 10 and walking one.
Aiden Dahlberg had two hits, including a double, drove in a run and scored a run; Gavin Darr was 2 for 3; and Jake Reinhardt doubled, drove in two runs and scored two runs for the Red Dragons (5-8, 5-7).
Camden Lombardo and Zach Cornell combined for seven strikeouts on the mound for Maple Grove.
