Maloney, Ryan Kelly, Nilla Ecklof, Wintersteen Earn Medalist Honors

Evan Maloney's 41 was good enough for medalist honors as unbeaten Jamestown raised its record to 13-0 overall and 11-0 in the division with wins over Southwestern, Olean and Falconer on Monday at Moon Brook Country Club.

Teammate Tyler Salvaggio was one shot back after a 6-over 42.

The Red & Green defeated Southwestern (8-3, 5-3) 37.5-17.5; Olean (8-5, 4-4) 40-15; and Falconer (3-6 , 2-3) 50-15. In the other matches, the Trojans upended Falconer 36-19 and Olean 32-23. The Huskies held off the Golden Falcons 30-25.

Other top individual scores were Chase Hartnett of Southwestern with a 45, Brody Frame of Olean with a 47 and Channing Brainard and Lauren Yagger of Falconer with 50 apiece.

DUNKIRK -- Fredonia's Ryan Kelly shot 2-under the par-36 course at Shorewood Country Club to claim medalist honors and helped the 'Billies secure two victories in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 action and three in total on Monday.

Fredonia (3-1, 3-1) teammates Braiden Truby and Jordan Kelly were right behind Ryan with 38s, while Chautauqua Lake/Westfield (6-3, 4-2) was led by Carson Swanson's 41, Konner Morgan paced Clymer/Sherma/Panama (3-9, 2-6) at 46 and Kam Keppel led Dunkirk (0-8, 0-5) with a 56.

Fredonia defeated Dunkirk 40-15, Chautauqua Lake/Westfield 38.5-16.5 and the Wolfpack 40-15. Chautauqua Lake/Westfield split league with the win against Dunkirk 38-17 and a nonleague victory over Clymer/Sherman/Panama 34.5-20.5. The Wolfpack edged Dunkirk 36-19 in nonleague competition.

Behind a 42 by Nilla Ecklof, the Jamestown girls improved to 3-1 overall and 3-1 in the league after downing Olean 37-18 at Moon Brook CC.

Britta Putney added a 51 and Mara Strickland had a 54 for the Red & Green.

Molly Leslie's 61 topped the Huskies (0-3, 0-3).

CLAIMS MEDALIST

CASSADAGA -- Jocelyn Wintersteen shot 4-over to claim the medalist honors and lead Cassadaga Valley/Maple Grove past Fredonia 32-23 at Cassadaga Country Club.

Wintersteen's 39 led the field, while Sydnee Hoffman fired a second-best 47 for the Hillbillies.
