Ivett Has Big Night As Pine Valley Coasts
SOUTH DAYTON — Trent Ivett had 17 points, 11 rebounds, four steals and three assists to lead Pine Valley past West Valley 54-24 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 4 boys basketball Friday.
James Greene added 14 points, 15 rebounds, five blocked shots, three assists and two steals, while Camryn Slade had 13 points, 13 rebounds, six steals and four assists for the Panthers (8-10, 6-6).
The Wildcats fell to 1-14 overall and 0-12 in the league.
FORESTVILLE COASTS
FORESTVILLE — William Duliba scored 16 points and Jacob Anders added 14 as Forestville beat nonleague Cassadaga Valley 53-15.
The Hornets (13-4, 9-1) led 14-0 after the first quarter and 23-3 at halftime.
The Cougars, who finished Division 3 play 0-10, fell to 0-17 overall.
CLYMER CLUTCH AT CHARITY STRIPE
CLYMER — Blake Beckerink hit a pair of free throws with 15 seconds remaining and Southwestern’s last-chance shot fell short as Clymer beat the Trojans 43-44 in nonleague action.
Southwestern’s Chase Hartnett scored 9 of his game-high 24 points during the fourth quarter as the Trojans took a three-point lead with around two minutes remaining. Eli Mitchell pulled the Pirates within a point with two free throws before Beckerink gave the hosts the lead.
Roman Wassink led Clymer (9-10, 5-7 CCAA D2) with 10 points, nine rebounds and two blocked shots, while Beckerink and Kameron Einink each had 9 points.
Gavin Milner chipped in 9 points for Southwestern (7-11, 4-7 CCAA D1).
