CLR HS Club Team Registration Is Now Open

Chautauqua Lake Rowing High School Club Team registration for the 2025 competitive spring rowing season is open.

CLR provides a fun and competitive environment in the sport of rowing for boys and girls in grades 8-12. Athletes in 7th grade may be eligible to row and are handled on an individual basis.

For the steersman (those smaller athletes who steer and encourage rowers in the racing shells), eligibility is from 7th through 12th grade.

No experience is necessary to join CLR Rowing Team. CLR coaches train you to row or act as steersman.

Rowing is a great cross training sport and one of the best team-oriented activities.

Students from all local schools are welcome to register and become part of the club team. Indoor practices begin Monday, March 3 at the Falconer Village Hall upstairs facility. Outdoor practices, depending upon weather, begin tentatively on March 31 at the boathouse 18 Jones and Gifford, Jamestown.

Indoor practices run Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Registration is currently open.

For more information on the practice schedule and team schedule, see CLRA’s website at http://www.rowchautauqua.org.

Registration to the team can also be found at this same website under the High School tab.

Contact information for team coaches is also provided under the high school tab.

For those who have additional questions, appointments can be made for parents and athletes to meet a coach at the boathouse, Jones and Gifford Avenue, Jamestown.
