SHERMAN — Tate Catanese was perfect, Bryce Hinsdale reached a career milestone and Carter Brink had more than 100 receiving yards to lead Clymer/Sherman/Panama to a 50-6 nonleague football victory over Lake Shore on Saturday afternoon.

The win improved the Wolfpack’s record to 4-2, while the Eagles dropped to 1-5.

“Coming off a loss to a great opponent like Lackawanna (last week), we wanted to get back on track,” C/S/P head coach Ty Harper said. “Anytime you’ve got homecoming, it’s a fun week and it comes with a lot of distractions, but I thought they did a great job of focusing.”

Hard to argue.

Catanese completed all eight of his passing attempts for 180 yards and three touchdowns — 69 yards to Brink, 23 yards to Hinsdale and 23 yards to Alex Barmore. Brink finished with four receptions for 117 yards, and Hinsdale reached 200 career receptions, which is good for No. 2 on the state’s all-time list. The record is 227.

“It’s an incredible accomplishment,” Harper said. “Bryce is a team-first guy, who cares more about wins than records … but hopefully he has plenty more games to catch more passes.”

The Wolfpack led 43-0 at halftime. The other first-half touchdowns were courtesy of a pair of Sawyer Whitney runs from 18 and 4 yards; a 52-yard burst by Collin Ryan; and a 2-yard run by Travis Owens. Catanese connected with Barmore on a touchdown pass in the second half to complete the scoring for C/S/P.

Owens finished with 62 yards rushing on eight carries; Hinsdale was successful on all six point-after kicks; Ryan collected eight tackles, including two for loss; Cameron Einink had six tackles; and Barmore added a sack.

Clymer/Sherman/Panama will entertain Wilson at 1:30 p.m. this Saturday at Clymer Central School.
