Tonelli’s 4 Goals Sparks Fredonia Past Olean In Girls Soccer Action 4-1
OLEAN — Cece Tonelli scored four goals to spark Fredonia to a 5-1 victory over Olean in a Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 girls soccer game Tuesday.
Haylee Babar added the other goal for the winners (6-7, 3-4), while Piper Walnicki, Nora Polhamus, Mady Polhamus and Larah Rukavina each had one assist.
Mallory Carter had the lone goal for the Huskies (1-10-1, 0-6-1).
Naomi Muck was in goal for the Hillbillies and made four saves. Emma Edwards was the keeper for Olean and was credited with 11 saves.
EAGLES EDGE WARRIORS
SALAMANCA — Addison John and Ady Andrews both scored a goal in the first half, lifting Ellicottville to a 2-1 victory over Salamanca in a Division 2 game.
Collecting both assists for the Eagles (9-3-1, 6-2-1) was Katie Bless.
Leilene McComber tallied the lone goal for the Warriors (5-6-1, 5-5-0) in the second half.
Manning the nets were Courtney Marsh of Ellicottville (eight saves) and Aaliyah Winship of Salamanca (seven saves).
BEARS BLANK NORTH COLLINS
NORTH COLLINS — Audrey Eckwahl tallied four goals and Ava Jimerson added three to spark Frewsburg to a 10-0 win over North Collins in a Division 3 game.
Ava Jimerson also dished out four assists, and Eckwahl added a pair in a dominating effort.
The other goal scorers for the Bears (13-1, 8-0) were Brionna Dumaine, Taytum Jimerson and Jaden Jimerson. Also collecting assists were Jaden Jimerson with two and Taytum Jimerson with one.
Elysse Gruber made four saves for Frewsburg.
North Collins fell to 8-4 overall and 5-3 in the division.
GATORS DOWN RED & GREEN
JAMESTOWN — Three second-half goals broke open a close Division 1 game, sending Allegany-Limestone to a 6-2 victory over Jamestown.
Payton Gibbs and Kinsley Berg found the back of the net for the Red & Green (3-9-1, 1-6-1). Berg also had an assist in support of Myah Crossley, who made nine saves.
The Gators are 11-1 and 6-1.
EAGLES SHUT OUT BLACK KNIGHTS
MAYVILLE — Chautauqua Lake shut out Silver Creek/Forestville 3-0 in a Division 3 game.
Meadow Azzarella made eight saves for the Black Knights.
The Eagles are 7-5 overall and 7-2 in the division.
Silver Creek/Forestville dropped to 5-6 and 2-5.

MONDAY
HENRY HAS BIG DAY
MAYVILLE — Nathan Henry had two goals and two assists to lead Chautauqua Lake past Silver Creek/Forestville 6-1 in Division III.
Henry scored from Brendan Klossner in the 23rd minute and Travis Horvath in the 26th minute before assisting on a Kameron Press goal in the 30th minute.
After halftime, Press scored from Michael Horvath in the 50th minute, Lincoln Smith scored in the 65th minute from Henry and Klossner scored from Aden Gollhardt in the 78th minute.
The victory continued Chautauqua Lake’s strong play which included a 1-0 victory over Maple Grove the game prior and in that Press scored the lone goal from Henry.
The Eagles improved to 7-5-0 overall and 5-2-0 in the league, while the Black Knights fell to 4-6-0 overall and 0-5-0 in the league.
