The Chautauqua Lake varsity and junior varsity volleyball teams competed in the Olean Volleybash Tournament last Saturday at St. Bonaventure University and they both took first place for the second straight year. The varsity finished first in its pool against Maple Grove, Bolivar Richburg and Allegany-Limestone; defeated Olean in the semifinals; and then knocked off Cattaraugus-Little Valley in the finals 25-23, 24-26, 16-14. Meanwhile, the Eagles’ jayvees downed Jamestown 22-25, 25-14, 25-19 in its pool; defeated Falconer 30-15 in the semifinals; and held off Olean 25-23, 23-25, 15-12 in the finals.
