Allegany-Limestone Beats Southwestern To Finish With 9-1-0 League Mark

ALLEGANY — Allegany-Limestone beat Southwestern 2-1 to wrap up the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 girls soccer title.

Avery Johnson scored from Kenzie Rogers in the 27th minute to give the Trojans (10-5-0, 7-3-0) a 1-0 lead. Madison Honeck answered for the Gators (15-1-0, 9-1-0) to tie the game before halftime.

In the second half, Abby Peck scored the eventual game-winning goal for Allegany-Limestone.

Braya Beaver made four saves for Southwestern and Chloe Baker made nine saves for Allegany-Limestone.

KRESS, ROTH EACH SCORE TWICE

FALCONER — Falconer/Cassadaga Valley/Maple Grove led 2-0 at halftime and then exploded for five second-half goals in a 7-1 Division 1 defeat of Fredonia.

Kylie Kress and Mary Lundmark scored unassisted goals for the Golden Cougars (13-3-0, 8-2-0) in the opening 40 minutes.

After the break, Kress scored from Lundmark, Julianna Roth scored unassisted, Roth scored from Natalie Dossey, Sydnee Snow scored unassisted and Gracie Chimera scored from Roth for the hosts.

Cece Tonelli scored for the Hillbillies (6-10-0, 3-7-0).

Ellyson Baglia made two saves for Falconer/Cassadaga Valley/Maple Grove and Naomi Muck made six saves for Fredonia.

PORTVILLE

UNBEATEN IN LEAGUE

ELLICOTTVILLE — Grace Gariepy scored from Gianna Aloi in the 65th minute to break a 1-1 tie as Portville edged Ellicottville 2-1 in Division 2 play.

Addison John opened the scoring in the 27th minute for the Eagles (11-4-1, 8-3-1) before Aloi tied the game in the 57th minute for the Panthers (14-1-1, 11-0-1).

Bella Morales made three saves for Portville and Courtney Marsh made 21 saves for Ellicottville.

RED & GREEN PREVAIL

A pair of first-half goals proved to be enough as Jamestown beat Olean 2-1 in Division 1 action at Strider Field.

Kate Kathman scored from Payton Gibbs in the 29th minute and Madison Burgess scored unassisted in the 36th minute for the Red & Green (4-11-1, 2-7-1).

Leea Kopp scored unassisted for the Huskies (1-14-1, 0-9-1).

Myah Crossley made five saves for Jamestown and Emma Edwards made 14 saves for Olean.

BRAMER NETS HAT TRICK

CATTARAUGUS — Talon Bramer netted a hat trick to send Cattaraugus-Little Valley past Franklinville 3-0 in Division 2.

MaKayla Wolfe-Widrig assisted on Bramer’s first goal in the 21st minute, McKenzie Harvey assisted on Bramer’s goal in the 53rd minute and Candice Brown assisted on Bramer’s goal in the 55th minute. Bernie Butcher made four saves in the clean sheet for the Timberwolves (2-13-0, 2-10-0).

The Panthers fell to 1-13-1 overall and 1-11-0 in the league.

RANDOLPH COASTS TO SHUTOUT

SOUTH DAYTON — Randolph scored all of its goals in the first half of a 5-0 shutout of Pine Valley/Gowanda in Division 2.

Sadie Steward scored from Gianna Bowles in the second minute, Bowles scored from Steward in the third minute, Ava Sears scored from Ella Monroe in the 21st minute, Bowles scored from Quinn Pence in the 26th minute and Sara Smith scored from Bowles in the 39th minute for the Cardinals (11-3-2, 9-1-2).

Stella Smith made one save in the clean sheet, while Destiny Lindquist made 16 saves for the Panthers (4-12-0, 3-9-0).

BLACK KNIGHTS POST SHUTOUT

SILVER CREEK — Silver Creek/Forestville scored two goals in each half en route to a 4-0 shutout over Westfield/Brocton in Division 3.

The Black Knights improved to 8-7-0 overall and 4-6-0 in the league.

Colie Bundy made 11 saves for the Wolverines (3-9-2, 2-7-1).

BEARS FINISH PERFECT D3 SEASON

FREWSBURG — Charlie Lombardo scored two goals and two assists in Frewsburg’s 12-0 victory over Dunkirk to wrap up a perfect season in Division 3.

Ava Jimerson scored a hat trick for Frewsburg (15-1-0, 10-0-0), Ellie Seiberg scored twice, while Brionna Dumaine, Jaden Jimerson, Audrey Eckwahl and Taytum Jimerson all had a goal and two assists each and Calynn Sigular scored once. Elysse Gruber made just two saves for the clean sheet.

The Marauders fell to 1-13-1 overall and 0-9-1 in the league.
