Northwest Arena hosted Week 2 of the Dot’s Gift Boutique Northwest Arena Backyard Curling League.

MONDAY BUD LIGHT

5:45 LEAGUE

Claire Tomassini and Gren’s Growlers avoided a scare from The Jimmy Shimmy’s 26-21. They followed that up by annihilating TRCurlers 35-4.

Frank Fuller, Pete Snyder and Fruit of the Brooms notched a pair of victories over Cold as Ice 31-24 and Rock’n Rollers 33-26.

Lauren Lapinski anchored the defense for the Rolling Stones. They shut down Shoeless Joe’s Pub 20-14 and Rock’n Rollers 20-4.

Julie Fye and Curling Me Softly clamped down in the last two ends against TRCurlers 18-12.

Cold as Ice was captained by Sandy Everson in their 26-21 conquest of The Jimmy Shimmy’s.

Theresa Jackson was the star for Shoeless Joe’s Pub in a back-and-forth affair with War Vets 37-34).

Dave Matson and War Vets responded with a 20-15 takedown of Smooth Operators.

However, David Crandall ensured the first victory for Smooth Operators versus Pepsi 34-32.

Before that initial loss, Dave Minchner and Pepsi stunned Curling Me Softly 24-19.

MONDAY BUD LIGHT

6:45 LEAGUE

Short & Curly put a target on their back as the lone unbeaten in the league. Sam Stewart and Chris Conti paved the way against Sour Pickles 19-16 and Pickle Pushers 30-24.

Snow Good at This got back to their winning ways behind Scott and Alanna Dibble. The solid play from this family led to victories over Rock Slide 30-14 and Frosty Curlers 23-13.

Alyssa Porter completely turned the season around for Cheese Curds. They sit at the .500 mark after bringing down Honest Abe 31-28 and On the Rocks 25-13.

Matt Lebarron put up all-star numbers for Brewster’s Bros. as they cruised by On the Rocks 38-21, although they did succumb to Greg Anderson and Sour Pickles 18-15.

Drew Wilcox and Honest Abe shut down Frosty Curlers 22-12.

Rounding things out were the Janet Calabrese led Pickle Pushers. They were able to fend off Rock Slide 27-25.

WEDNESDAY STEVE CHAMBERS/JAMESTOWN HONDA 5:30 LEAGUE

Jason Ford and Rich Wilson pulled out a couple of grinders for J-1 Auto. They survived We’ve Got the Stones 30-29 and edged Head for the Mountains 44-34.

Mike Wissman carried the load for 12 oz. Curlers over Legion of Broom 29-19 and Slone Melhuish 28-23.

Jim Gustafson and Charlie Beach have Golfers on Ice back on track after putting away Girls with Stones 48-28 and Stone Cold Maidens 21-18.

Chris Maggio caught fire in a 28-18 victory under the belt of Head for the Mountains.

Mike Ditrich and Legion of Broom had no issues with In-Laws Rock 32-18.

Kyle Benish and Curling Me Softly narrowly escaped Drunken Sliders 21-17.

Autumn Bower-Mazzone rallied the troops as Drunken Sliders would go on to topple Stone Cold Maidens 27-20.

We’ve Got the Stones walloped Slone Melhuish 36-13 behind Jen Beebe.

Mark Hinderleider got In-Laws Rock in the win column for the first time against Curling Me Softly 33-20.

WEDNESDAY STEVE CHAMBERS/JAMESTOWN HONDA 6:30 LEAGUE

Got Stones got it done on Wednesday night thanks to Howie McIntyre and Travis Higgs. They escaped Keep it Cool 27-21 and then stomped Curls Gone Wild 41-18.

Nick Kahanic stole the show for The Brush Offs. His key shots notched wins versus In the House 33-31 and The Ice Men 27-19.

Perfect Stones flipped the script after a tough opening night. John Panebianco helped them shut down Curl or Dye 22-9 and Ice Holes 21-11.

Josh Donist and Team No Names looked polished against Curls Gone Wild 29-20. In the next slate, Cathy Panebianco and In the House got the best of them 22-16.

Paul Gustafson pulled out a barnburner for The Ice Men 10-8 at the hands of HALLFAW.

Cindy Fawcett found a way to get the offense going as HALLFAW cruised by The Rolling Stones 35-19.

Matt Hanley was able to engineer a 21-15 victory for The Rolling Stones over Smokin’ Rocks.

WEDNESDAY STEVE CHAMBERS/JAMESTOWN HONDA 7:30 LEAGUE

Vintage Rex McCray appeared for the Dotsmen. He captained his squad past Tomte* Curlers 15-12 and SCISSORS 22-14.

Ben and Brent Anderson combined forces to breeze by ROCK 26-9 and Rand Machine 29-16.

Beth Hagglund was the MVP for Haggy’s Jr. Curling as they ambushed Ice & Easy 35-22 and ROCK 27-17.

Ryan Short and 12 oz. Curlers didn’t miss a beat in their matchup with Throwing Sliders, 39-18 was the end result.

Chrissy Silzle made it look like child’s play with 12 oz. Curlers in the next game, 25-11 Curl Power got the win.

A tale as old as time, SCISSORS cut PAPER 18-11 thanks to David Niles.

Jim Bergman and Throwing Sliders pulled out a defensive classic with Trouble Makers 17-16.

Joey Perkins corralled the troops for Trouble Makers so they could put Tomte* Curlers to bed 35-19.

Capping things off was Dan Challingsworth and Rand Machine writing off The Flintstones 15-6.

FRIDAY RYAN DEPPAS/LEGEND GROUP

4:30 LEAGUE

Bruce Moore and Cold Beer Here remained undefeated with two victories over Button Busters 25-24 and Sweeping Beauties 26-16.

On the Rocks opened up their season with two wins as Ben Whitney led his team to wins over 2 Curls and A Cup 31-14 and Button Busters 29-13.

Emma Weidner and Stefanie Johnson went back and forth with precision for Curlews as they knocked off Tracy’s Dog 26-23.

Beth Snow and Sweeping Beauties turned the tables on Curlews as they topped them 39-25.

Curl Jam defeated Ba Na Ma Na 28-15 behind the stellar play of Ken Kaltenbach.

Unfortunately, Curl Jam couldn’t hold off the Big Stones as they lost a close one 21-20 as Morgan Vail took them down.

Joanna Paterniti was on fire as Tracy’s Dog defeated The Chestnuts 42-30.

Laura Anderson started out her season on fire as she led Curl City past Frost Bitten Twice Shy 40-25.
