Williams, Whipsnakes Fall In PLL Championship Game
Utah defeated Maryland 12-8 in the Premier Lacrosse League 2024 Cash APP Championship game on Sunday.
The Archers sealed their second consecutive title with a strong defensive effort, led by Most Valuable Player Brett Dobson in goal. Dobson made 17 saves, stopping 68% of the Whipsnakes shots he faced.
Maryland’s Matt Rambo, Silver Creek Central School graduate Zed Williams and Levi Anderson combined for just two total points.
Trailing 4-1 early in the second quarter, Utah used a 5-1 run to start the second half to post their second straight title.
