Westfield Sweeps Sherman

WESTFIELD — Westfield beat Sherman 25-19, 25-10, 25-16 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 3 girls volleyball Thursday.

Avery Smith had nine kills, two digs and two aces; Eva Gnadzinski had two kills and six aces; Sydney Hotchkiss had four kills and six digs; and Alina Franklin had seven aces for the Wolverines (3-1, 2-0).

Kelsey Wagner had three kills, an assist, three digs and two aces, while Kenadie Long had a kill, four assists and an ace for the Wildcats (1-2, 1-1).

Westfield won the jayvee match.

SOUTHWESTERN ROLLS

DUNKIRK — Reagan Stutzman scored eight kills and two blocks to lead Southwestern past Dunkirk 25-14, 25-9, 25-14 in Division 1 play.

Bella Sirianni dealt out 18 assists, three aces and three kills for the Trojans (3-1, 2-1); Siri DuBois had 10 kills and a block; Madi Burnett scored five aces and four kills; and Leigha Sischo added four kills and two aces.

Dunkirk fell to 1-3 overall and 0-2 in league.

In other action, Randolph (3-1, 3-0) swept West Valley/Franklinville (0-2, 0-2) 25-5, 25-6, 25-7 in Division 2; Portville (4-0, 3-0) swept Jamestown (1-3, 1-2) 25-18, 25-11, 25-10 in Division 1; and Ellicottville (2-2, 1-1) swept Salamanca (0-3, 0-2) 25-9, 25-13, 25-14 in Division 2.

EAGLES SWEEP BROCTON

BROCTON — Brina Jacobson had five aces, four kills, nine digs and three assists as Chautauqua Lake swept Brocton 25-11, 25-12, 25-22 in Division 3 play Wednesday.

Karagan Fairbank had a kill, nine digs and nine assists, while Alice Scarpine chipped in an ace and 12 digs for the Eagles (2-0, 1-0).

Evie Morrison had 10 assists, two kills, two digs and four blocks, while Grace Lundin had an assist, two kills and 10 digs for the Bulldogs (2-2, 0-1).

Chautauqua Lake won the jayvee match.
