Westfield, Panama Earn D3 Sweeps
Wolverines Beat Silver Creek, Panthers Top Maple Grove
WESTFIELD — Eva Gnadzinski had six aces to lead Westfield to a 25-20, 25-22, 25-20 Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 3 girls volleyball sweep of Silver Creek on Wednesday.
Mackenzie Schumaker had two kills, two digs and an ace; Sydney Hotchkiss had eight digs; and Avery Smith had four kills, a dig and two aces for the Wolverines (2-1, 1-0).
Gracie Williams had five kills and five aces; Josie Daniels had seven digs; and Gracelin Stevens had three kills for the Black Knights (1-1, 0-1).
Westfield won the jayvee match.
PANTHERS SWEEP MAPLE GROVE
PANAMA — Kaitlyn Horton had 10 kills, three blocks, six digs and six service points to lead Panama past Maple Grove 25-11, 25-19, 25-18 in Division 3 play.
Kiera Loberg added 17 assists, four kills, five digs and nine service points, while Lilly Hyde had seven kills, three digs and five service points, including a pair of aces, for the Panthers (3-1, 1-0).
For Maple Grove (1-1, 0-1), Mady Haglund had seven assists, 10 digs and two aces; Bry Cornell had three kills and an ace; and Harper Dawes had three kills and five digs.
PIRATES HAVE BIG NIGHT AT SERVICE LINE
CLYMER — Lily Johnson’s 13 service points, including seven aces, helped Clymer get by North Collins 25-112, 25-13, 23-25, 25-21 in Division 4 action.
Johnson also had three kills and eight digs; Olivia Dellamora had five kills, nine digs and 10 service points, including eight aces; Janelle Burchanowski had three kills, 10 assists, nine digs and seven service points, including a pair of aces; and Maiya Dunnewold had six assists and nine service points, including six aces, for the Pirates (1-2, 1-0).
Zoe Kreinheder had 14 assists, a dig and seven service points; Ashley Niefergold had five kills, a block and six points; and Lily Montaldi had three kills, a dig and three service points, including two aces, for the Eagles (0-1, 0-1).
FORESTVILLE RALLIES PAST COUGARS
FORESTVILLE — Kaitie LoManto had 10 aces, 16 assists and two digs to lead Forestville past Cassadaga Valley 20-25, 25-20, 26-24, 25-20 in Division 4 action.
Megan Gruber had four kills, four blocks, three aces and eight digs; Iris Muck had four kills, two blocks, an ace and a dig; and Ana Gilman had four aces and five digs for the Hornets (1-2, 1-0).
Emiley Anderson had seven kills, four aces and five digs; Hailey Anderson had three kills, six aces and four digs; and Alexis Pattyson had a kill, six assists, three aces and four digs for the Cougars (0-4, 0-1).
