Falconer Schools Wins Battle Volleyball Event
Falconer Central Schools won the Battle of the Businesses Large Division volleyball tournament at the Jamestown YMCA on Tuesday evening.
Falconer’s volleyball team consisted of Trevor Delahoy, Tyler Dykstra, Chris Fiasco, Melanie Gifford, Jamie Glatz, Emily Narraway, Mackenzie Stevenson, Alyssa McCarthy, Jen Mikula and Brittany Sprawka.
The squad finished the night by beating Bush Furniture in a 22-20 final game.
Cummins finished in third place.
Overall, SKF (685 points) and Southern Tier Brewing/Distilling Company (415 points) lead the Large and Small Divisions, respectively.
Team captains are reminded to take photos of their participating teams in each event and forward them with captions to YMCA Battle staff each day.
The YMCA Battle continues this evening with women’s miniature golf at the Lakewood Golf Center. The Large Divisions tees off at 5:30 p.m. then the Small Division at 7 p.m. Steel tip darts, a new event, will also take place at Haggy’s Hatchet House located at 84 W. Main St. in Frewsburg at 6 p.m. (Large Division) and 7:15 p.m. (Small Division).
