ROOKIES DIVISION
Shults Auto Group won the Rookies Division championship with a 11-8 win over Lewis & Lewis.
Leading the way for Shults was Rocco Yarber with four hits. Bryson Stone, Joey Lombardo, Santino Yarber and Dominic Papparldo also helped the cause with three hits apiece. Tobias Thornton and Colton Martin added two hits apiece for Shults.
For Lewis & Lewis, Landon Conti, Sawyer Anderson, Leo Bell and Johnny Lamancuso led the team offensively with Lamancuso hitting a double.

Honest John’s Pizza defeated Ames Insurance 8-2 to advance in the playoffs.
Leading the way offensively for Honest John’s were Hudson Slojkowski and Paige Nickerson with four hits, while Adrian Hammond and Novack Richards each had three hits. Making some great defensive plays for Honest John’s were Axel Bergman and Oliver Schnars.
For Ames Insurance, Trenton Johnson led the way with three hits, while Mason Muscarella made some incredible plays on defense.

Ames Insurance defeated Ecklof Bakery 10-6.
For Ames Insurance, Remy Monn and Trenton Johnson both went 4 for 4. Mason Muscarella went 3 for 3 and Luke Seeley hit a double.
For Ecklof Bakery, Emmett Silliman, Niko Knight, Ari Genco and Jay Morris all had multiple hits.
14U TRAVEL BASEBALL
The Lakewood Gladiators participated in the 14th annual Pittsburgh Cap Classic over the weekend.
In Game 1 of pool play, a big first inning led the Gladiators past South Lyon Thunder Blue 12-1.
The Gladiators scored seven runs in the first inning. Wilson Genareo and Ryan Engquist had RBI singles, Mason Degnan and Broc Bryan had RBI walks, and Gavin Darr hit a two-run single.
Genareo earned the win for the Gladiators, allowing one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out three and walking two. Karson Milne collected the save.
Milne led the Gladiators with three RBIs from the No. 7 spot in the lineup. Darr and Gavin Weaver each had a pair of hits, and Drake Beckstrom drew three walks.
Riley Lacross drove in four runs on two hits to lead the Gladiators past Fennell Brothers Crummy 12-3 in Game 2 of pool play
Lacross doubled in the fifth inning, scoring three runs, and singled in the second inning, scoring one.
The Gladiators got on the board in the bottom of the second inning after Cole Fitzgerald hit an RBI single, Lacross hit an RBI single and Bryan hit a two-run double.
The Gladiators tacked on five runs with one hit in the fifth inning. Milne was hit by a pitch, plating a run, Degnan walked to force in a run, and Lacross hit his three-run double.
Bryan earned the win for the Gladiators. The reliever gave up one hit and zero runs over 1 2/3 innings, striking out none and walking one. Beckstrom led things off on the bump for the Gladiators. The right-hander surrendered two hits and three runs over 2 1/3 innings, striking out two and walking five. Ryan Engquist pitched one inning of scoreless ball in relief. He allowed one hit, striking out one and walking none.
Both teams were strong on the mound Saturday, but the Gladiators defeated Hardcore Elite Stadtfeld 3-0 in Game 3 of pool play.
Lacross started the game for the Gladiators and recorded six outs.
The Gladiators got on the board in the first inning after Weaver hit an RBI single.
Bryan earned the win for the Gladiators. The right-handed pitcher allowed two hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out three and walking two. Lacross allowed two hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out one and walking two. Engquist collected the save.
Darr, Lacross, Weaver and Degnan each collected one hit for the Gladiators.
After three pool play games the Gladiators went 3-0 to secure the No. 2 overall seed out of 12 teams.
PGH Spikes Forbes was just a little bit stronger at the plate in their 3-1 victory over the Gladiators on Sunday.
Genareo threw six innings of shutout ball, allowing three hits while striking out four and walking five.
Darr and Beckstrom each collected two hits for the Gladiators.
The Gladiators got on the board in the first inning after Darr hit an RBI single.
PGH Spikes Forbes captured the 3-1 lead in the top of the seventh after Owen Herrick tripled, Herrick scored after tagging up, and Brett Chiquelin lined out, each scoring one run.
The Gladiators would finish fourth overall and Hardcore Elite Stadtfeld would win the championship over PGH Spikes Forbes by the score of 14-8.
The Gladiators play at home Wednesday against WNY Prospects.

The Gladiators jumped out to the lead in the top of the second inning after Karson Milne hit an RBI single, Cole Fitzgerald and Riley Lacross hit two-run singles, and Wilson Genareo was hit by a pitch to force in a run.
Lacross earned the win for the Gladiators. The right-hander surrendered three hits and zero runs over 3 2/3 innings, striking out one and walking two. Julian Jackson led things off on the hill for the Gladiators, allowing one hit and three runs over 1 1/3 innings, striking out one and walking five. Ryan Engquist appeared in relief.
Gavin Darr, Milne, Lacross, Gavin Weaver, Fitzgerald and Mason Degnan each collected a hit for the Gladiators.
Lucas Generao was named tournament MVP.
The Gladiators advanced to the final with a 7-3 defeat of Bullpen Bulls-Drew.
A double by Wilson Genareo put the Gladiators on the board in the top of the first.
Lakewood added to its early lead in the top of the second inning when Engquist drew a walk, scoring one run, and two runs scored on Milne’s fielder’s choice.
Wilson Genareo allowed zero hits and one run over two innings, striking out one and walking five. Broc Bryan tossed two innings of zero-run ball in relief. The righty allowed one hit, striking out none and walking four.
Lucas Genareo, the Gladiators’ No. 7 hitter, led the team with two hits in three at-bats. Engquist, Gavin Weaver and Lucas Genareo each drove in one run.
Lakewood scored five runs in the first inning, which helped the Gladiators defeat the Lake Erie Scouts 8-1 in Game 3.
Wilson Genareo grounded out, scoring one run, Darr hit an RBI triple, Weaver hit an RBI single and Drake Beckstrom hit an RBI double.
Lakewood Gladiators added a run in the second after Bryan singled on a full count.
Lacross earned the win for Lakewood, surrendering one hit and one run over four innings, striking out five and walking one. Milne threw two innings of no-run ball for the Gladiators in relief. The southpaw surrendered one hit, striking out three and walking none.
Beckstrom went 2 for 2 at the plate.
The Gladiators tied West Hills 6-6 in Game 2.

Darr provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Lakewood with two RBIs. The left fielder went 2 for 3 on the day.
The Gladiators lost their opening game of the tournament, 4-1 to Erie Outlaws Moon.
Fitzgerald walked, which helped the Gladiators tie the game in the bottom of the fifth.
In the top of the sixth, Erie took a 4-1 lead.
Wilson Genareo started the game for the Gladiators. The righty gave up one hit and one run (zero earned) over three innings, striking out seven and walking one.
Lacross and Weaver each had a pair of hits for Lakewood.

The Southwestern Gladiators won the championship game 8-7 in extra innings over the New York Stingers at the 26th annual Jeremy Gorcica Memorial Tournament in Eden.
Ethan Smrekar tripled to lead off the bottom of the eighth inning before Brysen Thayer hit a walk-off RBI single to win the game in an 8-7 victory over the New York Stingers.
Thayer also had a double. Gage Olmsted had a triple, a single and two RBIs. Cole Mazzurco had two singles. Austin Bushey had a double and an RBI. Nolan Truver had a single and an RBI. Remington Smith had a single.
The Gladiators defeated Eden 5-4 in the semifinals.
Olmsted had two doubles and an RBI. Smrekar had a triple and an RBI. Ryan Burnett had two singles and an RBI. Mazzurco had a single and an RBI. Alexander Olson, Bushey and Evan Lescynski each had a single. Thayer added an RBI.
The Gladiators, in the preliminary games, defeated Grape City 16-4, defeated Eden 17-0 and lost to the Stingers 2-1.
In the win over Grape City, Smrekar had a triple, a single and four RBIs. Olmsted had two singles and two RBIs. Truver had a single and three RBIs. Olson and Smith each had a single and an RBI. Jeramie Rodriguez and Mazzurco each had a double. Burnett and Andrew Cama each had a single.
In the win over Eden, Olmsted had a triple, a single and three RBIs. Smrekar had a triple, a single and two RBIs. Burnett had three singles and two RBIs. Bushey and Mazzurco each had two singles and an RBI. Nolan Truver had an RBI single. Olson and Cama each had a single.

SENIOR DIVISION
Southwestern Blue moved to 5-0 with an 8-1 win over Mayville.
Alex Watkins pitched a complete-game one-hitter with 14 strikeouts and no walks.
The Southwestern offense was led by Logan Johnson with two hits, including a double. Brody Ellis had a double with three RBIs.
For Mayville, Cayden Blackman had a triple.
