FREDONIA — George Allessi shot 2-under 38 to take low scratch honors during Utility Golf League play Tuesday, July 23, at The Vineyards. Allessi’s score was two shots better than four players: Jaime Galarza, Jim Waite, Frank Jagoda, and Mike Kurmis. Galarza and Tom Hartung shared low net honors, each with 31, two strokes ahead of Jason Jagoda. On the night, there were 71 pars – six by Frank Jagoda and five by Allessi — and seven birdies. Among the birdies were skins by Waite on the par-five second hole and Joe Polichetti on the par-three fifth. In addition, Waite was closest-to-the-pin on No. 5 and Zeke Curtin was closest on No. 9. The duo of Matt Hutchinson and Mike Kurmis maintained its team lead, nine points ahead of Waite and Chris Penfold.

LAKEWOOD — Grace Hanlon’s gross 40 and a 31 net by Karen Coccagnia, Lisa Nelson, Laurie Collingwood and Sonya Gustafson led the way in the Mulligan Mamas Monday Night League at Maplehurst Country Club.

Other gross scores were Patty Weeks 42, Marcia Derby 42, Rita Newell 43, Brenda Tarana 43, Andrea Waddington 44, Mary Green 45, Theresa Jackson 45 and Terri Rettberg 45.

Other net scores were Kristy Moore 32, Beth Johnson 32, Tina Currie 33, Jen Tyger 33, Jill Allenson 33, Jessica Currie 33, Jen Peters 33 and Ruth Kriese 33.

RUSSELL, Pa. — Bill Petransky recorded the low gross with a 36 and Glenn Eck had a 26 for low net to pace the Senior League at Cable Hollow Golf Course.

Doug Wheeler and Greg Grimm collected a pair of birdies apiece, Petransky, Bob Yucha, Dave Gayton and Jon Vincent had six pars apiece; Bob Orbanic and Al Schumann had the most points with 7.5 apiece; and Mark Kestler is the individual points leader with 60.

The Eastern Division standings are Townline Auto 212, Schwab’s Copiers 206.5, Jones Chevrolet 205.5, Warren Tire 195.5, Maple Place Farms 184.5 and NAPA Auto Parts 178.5.

The Western Division standings are Mike’s Townline 221, Cable Hollow Golf 212, Litehouse Auto 206.5, Huber Blacktop 182.5, CITI Physical Therapy 177.0; and Falconer/Frewsburg Crew 167.5.

WESTFIELD — Darien Swanson’s 34 led the gross scores and Rich Ressler, Mike Patmore and Rick Schroeder carded a 31 to pace the net scores in the Thursday Night Men’s League at Pinehurst Golf Club.

FREDONIA — Joey Tramuta, Dave Criscione and Charlie Reinhardt all shot 35 to top the A Division in the Monday Night Utility League at Vineyards Golf Course. The B Division was led by Jeff White shooting a 41.

Closest to the pin was Jaime Galarza on No. 5 and Bob Manning on No. 9. In the A Division, Manning earned skins on No. 9. In the B Division, Gary Hazelton had skins on No. 2, Jaime Galarza on No. 5, Gary Vandevelde on No. 6 and Jeff White on No. 7.

WARREN, Pa. — The team of Jesse McMichael and Tim Ruch scored a 27 to lead the Stableford League at Jackson Valley Golf Course.

The pair of Rick Wagner and Mike Moyer Sr. followed with 23, Shane Flannery and John Lord scored 21 and Mickey Caldwell and Bob Carrington had 21.

The individual high points from the White Tees are McMichael with 16, while the trio of Dan Brown, Gary Weber and Tim Munksgard scored 12. From the Gold Tees, Wagner led with 13, while Bill Wassman, Tim Watkins and Caldwell scored 12.

RUSSELL, Pa. — Mark Silvis fired a 37 to lead the Park Avenue Motor Car Men’s Senior Golf League at Blueberry Hill Golf Course, while the trio of Chuck Barrett, Ike Borland and Dave Grady had a low net score of 29.

Just behind Silvis in gross score was Doug Swanson, Jamie Mohney and Dick Merenick all with 38.

Barrett scored an eagle, while the long list of birdies includes: Larry Crossley, Tim Bleech, Wlly Blyth, Bill Wilson, John Elms, Mark Owens, Kevin Hartley, Terry English, Dick Merenick, Steve Gelotte, Ralph Keniston, Dave Progar, John Bevevino, Jim Fitch, Jerry Dylewski, Mark Silvis, Jeff McClement and Henry Wightman.

CHAUTAUQUA — A strong performance by the Mayville Legion returned them back to first place in the Bill Sprague Memorial League at Chautauqua Golf Club.

The low scores on the front 9 were Gabe Morrell 40, Jim Mayer 41 and Mark Powers 41. On the back 9, Craig Martin 37, Christian Pickard 42 and Scott Thayer 43.

The low net score was shared by Jim Hughes, Pickard, Kyle Mayer and Pete Hoitink with 33.

FREDONIA — The team of Jeff and Tara Nelson and John and Cheryl Corbett scored a 29 to lead the Friday Night Couples League at Vineyards Golf Course.

Second was Bob and Kim Adams with Bobbie Deering and Harry Szewcyk at 32. Then in third Barry and Cathe Kilpatrick and Jon and Julie Ortendahl scored 32.

Jeff Nelson earned closest to the pin honors.

Skins were earned by Kessler on No. 1 and No. 5, while Rob LeGrano won them on No. 7. Closest to the pin honors went to Joe Sorci on No. 5 and Mike Rylowicz on No. 9.
