SOUTHERN TIER GIRLS BABE RUTH SOFTBALL

MAJORS DIVISION

Genevieve Bussman was the Offensive Player of the Game and Averylynne Gifford was the Defensive Player of the Game for Frewsburg in a 13-12 win over Southwestern.

Caroline Case and Alisha were the top defensive players, while Kiana Newhouse was the top offensive player for Southwestern.

Southwestern’s Tiffany Wakeley Academy beat Jamestown’s El Greco 13-12.

The Offensive Players of the Game for Southwestern were Avery Johnson and Allison Ochocki. Jamestown’s top offensive players of the game were Karissa Ramos and Ahnicka Ernewein. The top defensive players for Southwestern were Eden Heintzman and Everly Vezina.

Top defensive players for Jamestown were Ella Washer and Kailyn Rigerman.

MINORS DIVISION

The South Dayton Fillies beat Frewsburg’s Heathen Household Services 11-10.

South Dayton’s top defensive player was Emma Buczek and its top offensive player was Linley Wood.

The top defensive player for Frewsburg was Audrey Casel and the top offensive player was Lyla Hale.

ROOKIES DIVISION

Randolph’s JDL Machine topped Panama’s Neil’s Propane 27-17.

For Randolph, Chloie Lundsten and Charlotte Sickles each had three hits, and Gracyn Conklin and Juniper Russell were the top fielders.

For Panama, Alanna Camarata made the top defensive plays, while Eloise Johnson had multiple hits.

The Dinner Bell beat Honest John’s 16-11.

Offensive Players of the Game were Kinsley Schauers and Teagan Tellinghuisen.

Defensive Players of the Game were Ashlyn Rosequist and Nola Calkins.

JAMESTOWN CAL RIPKEN

MINORS DIVISION

Travis Ostrander doubled and scored on Samuel Root’s RBI single as Kiwanis Club topped Cusimano’s Carstar 4-0 at Roseland Park.

Ryder Loomis and Cal Miller also contributed a hit apiece for Kiwanis.

For Cusimano’s Carstar, Anthony Raymond Jr. and Jayden Short each had a hit.

ROOKIES DIVISION

Lewis & Lewis defeated Shults Auto 3-2 in the opening game of the season.

For Shults Auto, Joey Lombardo was the offensive star and Santino Yarber played great defense.

For Lewis & Lewis, Jet Ferrara shined on offense and Landon Conti had a great defensive night.

Honest John’s Pizza defeated Ames Insurance 13-2.

Leading the way for Honest John’s were Hudson Slojkowski and Adrian Hammond with four hits apiece.

Brayden Whitacre led the way for Ames Insurance with three hits, while Remy Monn shined on defense.

DISTRICT 38 LITTLE LEAGUE

MAJORS DIVISION

Trenton Smith had the only extra-base hit as Trav’s Auto beat Ultimate Solutions 4-3.

Waylin Goodwin had a single for Ultimate Solutions.

Mason Corrigan had three hits, including a pair of doubles, and five RBIs for Ideal Coatings in a 19-12 victory over Ultimate Solutions.

Ultimate Solutions was led by Chase Parmentier and Jenna Bellinger, each with a double, driving in two and one run, respectively.

Lucas Arrance and Carter Baastedo each struck out five in two innings of work for Ultimate Solutions in a 14-13 win over Cherry Creek.

Arrance helped his own cause with three singles and an RBI on the night. Zack Stoll added two singles and two RBIs for Ultimate Solutions.

Barrett Austin led Cherry Creek with two singles.

Storage Linc trailed 7-2 after the top of the fourth inning, but scored five runs in the bottom of the fourth and two more in the bottom of the fifth to beat Moonlight Electric 9-7.

Bryan Heald had a two-run double to score Jackson Brady and Jackson Butzer before Curtis Spielman and Maverick Moore had RBI singles in the big inning for the winners.

Heald finished with two hits and three RBIs for Storage Linc. Lincoln Moller, Spielman and Butzer combined for 11 strikeouts on the mound with Butzer throwing the final two scoreless innings.

Brayden Beckstrom was 3 for 4 with an RBI and three runs scored; Collin Bragg was 2 for 3 with a run scored; and Camden Cruea doubled and drove in a run for Moonlight Electric. Bragg, Kameron Smith, Cruea and Nathaniel Bliss combined for 10 strikeouts on the mound.
