Propheter-Led Jamestown Tops Niagara Falls

NIAGARA FALLS — It was windy and rainy Saturday at Niagara Falls High School.

It mattered little to Ella Propheter.

The Jamestown senior quarterback completed 14 of 17 passes for 89 yards and two touchdowns; rushed nine times for 91 yards and another score; added a one-point conversion; and she collected six flag pulls and defended two passes.

Added together, it was enough for the Red & Green to leave with a 19-6 victory over the Wolverines.

Other contributors for Jamestown were Kaylee Leeper (20 yards rushing on four carries, four catches, including one good for a 30-yard touchdown, and four defended passes); Kate Kathman (four catches, 23 yards and a flag pull); Grayson Bloomquist (five catches, 27 yards and a touchdown); Dainys Cruz (seven flag pulls, including one for a loss, and a defended pass); and Karlee Rock (four flag pulls, one defended pass and a sack).

Jamestown returns to action Wednesday when it travels to Orchard Park.
