Jackals Even Record With 134-115 Win

Seven players scored in double figures as Jamestown survived a huge performance by Anthony Peacock to post a 134-115 victory over Rhode Island in The Basketball League on Friday night at Jamestown Community College’s Physical Education Complex.

Leading the way for the Jackals was Joshua Dominguez with 24 points, but he had plenty of help. Troy Baker scored 21 points, Derrick Colter had 17, David Jasson added 16, Brent Price and Stephon Auguste both had 14 and Elijah Lostracco chipped in 13. Baker also hauled down 10 rebounds.

That balanced attack overshadowed the 46-point explosion by the Kraken’s Peacock, who shot 18 of 25 from the floor and 10 of 14 from the foul line to go along with 10 rebounds.

Tyler Rowe added 19 points, Jamaurie Coakley had 16 and Rodney Simon added 11 for the visitors.

The win improved Jamestown’s record to 3-3, while Rhode Island fell to 0-6. The two teams are back in action at 6 p.m. today at the Physical Education Complex.
