Southwestern brothers Neves and Tavio Hoose were both recognized for their 100th career victories as the Trojans beat Dunkirk 59-8 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 wrestling action Wednesday.

Neves Hoose, a senior, pinned Christian Hernandez at 190 pounds after recording his 100th win at the end of last season, while Tavio Hoose, a sophomore, pinned Jonathan Ortiz at 285 pounds after picking up his 100th win last weekend at the Sweet Home Duals..

Dante Spitale (152 pounds) and Brayden Potter (215 pounds) also earned takedowns for the Trojans, while Carmine Calimeri picked up a 16-1 technical fall at 131 pounds.

For the Marauders, Aries Cheverez earned a technical fall at 138 pounds and Michael Hanlon had a pin at 170 pounds.

GOWANDA — Springville won the final two bouts of the match to rally past Gowanda for a 41-33 nonleague victory.

Owen Pfaffenbach’s pin at 124 pounds gave the Panthers a 33-29 lead with two weights remaining.

But the Griffins’ Jayden Bushen earned a pin at 131 pounds to give Springville the lead before Kai Kendall’s pin at 138 pounds clinched the match.

For Gowanda, Kaleb Smith (145 pounds), Maddox Hudson (160 pounds), Brody Mescall (190 pounds) and Zach Stark (101 pounds) also had pins.
