FREDONIA -- SUNY Fredonia hosted the Best of the West Diving Invitational on Saturday.
Fredonia's hometown star emerged victorious.
Fredonia/Dunkirk/Forestville/Pine Valley's Elizabeth Pucci-Schaefer finished with an 11-dive total of 554.20, a New York State Public High School Athletic Association-qualifying score, to beat the field by more than 80 points.
Frewsburg/Falconer's Elayna Pitts was second with a score of 473.90, also a state-qualifying score, and Niagara Falls' Tori Franke was third with another state-qualifying score of 469.35 points.
Section VI championship-qualifying scores were turned in by fourth-place Ainslee Graham (437.85) of Clarence, fifth-place Leah Marsh (416.15) of Fredonia/Dunkirk/Forestville/Pine Valley, sixth-place Anelia Pitts (380.90) of Frewsburg/Falconer, seventh-place Isabella Zinno (339.20) of Clarence and eighth-place Lexi Campenella (337.95) of Webster.
The final three competitors were Ava Chapman (292.65) of Frewsburg/Falconer, Emelyn Campion (271.05) of Frewsburg/Falconer and Claire Pierri (237.85) of Webster.
