‘A Voice Fore A Child’ Tourney Benefits CASA

MAYVILLE — The winners of the second annual “A Voice Fore A Child” Charity Golf Tournament to benefit CASA of Chautauqua County have been announced.

First-place winners for ladies were Jodi Johnson, Debbie Stanbro, Judy Young and Janine Salzman, who shot a 68.

First-place winners for men’s were Jason Anderson, Benny Osman, Devan Jackson and Wade Crabtree, who shot a 60.

First-place winners for ladies/men’s were Brandon Williams, Ron Mason, Mike Fralick and Cassie Pike, who shot a 62.

The second annual “A Voice Fore A Child” Charity Golf Tournament was held at the Chautauqua Golf Course on Saturday, Aug. 19. Dozens of golfers and CASA supporters gathered for a great day of golf while supporting area abused and neglected foster children.

All funds raised from the tournament will be used to fulfill CASA’s mission of supporting volunteers who advocate for abused and neglected children in Chautauqua County. To support the mission of CASA, a tax-deductible donation can be made by sending a check to CASA of Chautauqua Co., Inc. at 2 Academy St., Suite 5, Mayville, NY 14757.

The mission of the Court Appointed Special Advocates of Chautauqua County is to provide an independent voice in court, advocating for the best interest of abused and neglected children in the pursuit of finding safe and permanent homes. CASA of Chautauqua County, Inc. relies on highly trained volunteers who are appointed by a Chautauqua County Family Court Judge to advocate for children in court. These volunteers work with relevant agencies and parties in order to advocate for the best interest of the child. With the information provided by the CASA volunteer, Family Court Judges are better able to make informed decisions as to what is best for the child. CASA of Chautauqua County is a United Way Community Partner.
