AREA B 8-10 ALL-STARS

MAYVILLE — Max Luce threw four scoreless innings in relief to give Fredonia the 9-5 victory over Dunkirk in Mayville.

Fredonia’s offense was led by Tim Carle collected two hits with a double, Tucker Shoup and Greyson Whitfield also hit doubles, while Alex Williams, Rocco Bongiovanni, Luce, Theo Conroy and Brennan Hodkin added a hit.

Dunkirk was powered by Jaxson Watts connecting on two hits including a triple and Dylan Neallard added a double.

FALCONER — Behind strong defensive play and an early offensive outburst, Southwestern defeated Gowanda 13-3 on Tuesday in Falconer.

Southwestern’s Kolton Bouckhuyt threw four scoreless innings that included three double plays by Matthew Cama and Collin Strong, Jackson Troutman secured a diving catch in right field to shut down a rally, and Cama came in relief to scatter three runs in two innings.

Southwestern started the game with six runs in the first inning, Williams came in for Gowanda and shut down the Southwestern offense that did not score again until the fifth inning. Mason Winchester scored three times and Strong finished 2 for 3 with two runs scored for Southwestern.

Southwestern is undefeated and faces Falconer on Friday.

AREA B 10-12 ALL-STARS

Falconer scored four runs in the top of the third inning and beat Southwestern 7-2 on Tuesday in Frewsburg.

Brody Taylor singled, A.J. Stewart walked and Colton Rhinehart doubled before Colton Smith homered in the decisive inning for Falconer.

Smith and Lukas Youngberg added triples and Taylor had an earlier single for the winners.

Ethan Smrekar doubled and scored a run in the first inning, and added a later single for Southwestern.

Frewsburg scored eight times in its final two at-bats to beat Randolph 10-7 on Sunday in Frewsburg.

Jackson Marsh, Blake Eckman, Bryan Heald and Tage Mazzurco each had a pair of hits for Frewsburg.

Caine Lange, Jack Haines and Wyatt Shields each had a pair of hits for Randolph.

Valley scored six runs in the top of the sixth inning to beat Falconer 11-7 on Sunday in Frewsburg.

Valley led 4-0 after the top of the first inning before Falconer eventually took a 6-5 lead with a three-run bottom of the fifth.
