Quartet Wins Eppehimer At Maplehurst GC

LAKEWOOD — The 31st annual Eppehimer Open was held at Maplehurst Golf Course recently.
The first-place winners with a 14-under par 56 went to the team of Tim Wares, Duncan Oleshak, Ed Cramer and Steve Cramer. The second-place team — determined by a match of cards — was Tim Eckstrom, Greg Certo, Jerry Costantini and Scott Costantini came in with a 11-under par 59. The team of Rick Hooks, Howard Holmes, Jim Marzalen and Todd Marzalen came in third also 11-under par 59.
The winner of the longest drive went to Walt Sheldon. The closest-to-the-pin award went to Pastor Dan Groh; the closest-to-the-line winner went to Seve Cramer; and the award for the longest drive opposite hand went to Mike Martin.
The event helped to raise money for youth scholarships and future mission trips. Many area businesses helped to sponsor the outing, including Cattaraugus County Bank, Roto Rooter, Lind Funeral Home, Valentine Enterprises, 3 C’s Catering, Hair Port Salon, Jamestown Mattress, Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Maplevale Farms, Maplehurst Country Club, The Main Landing, Safelite Autoglass, Landin Dental, Lena’s Pizza, D&S Glass Inc. and the William Farr Agency of Allstate Insurance Company.
The Pastor Wayne Eppehimer gave a short devotional during the dinner time.
