Frewsburg beat Clymer/Sherman/Panama by one game for the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 2 title this spring.

Both teams received plenty of postseason accolades.

The Wolfpack’s Trent Burchanowski was recently named the league’s Player of the Year and the Bears’ Eric Haglund was chosen as the league’s Coach of the Year.

Burchanowski, a senior, was joined on the First Team by senior teammate Austin White as well as Clymer/Sherman/Panama sophomores Bryce Hinsdale and Tate Catanese.

Frewsburg led the way with five players on the First Team. Senior Payton Dustin and junior Garrett Brink were joined by a trio of sophomores: Chase Haglund, Mason Eckman and Maddox Sheesley.

Third-place Maple Grove was represented on the First Team by senior Colin McPherson, junior Kolden McCall and sophomore Nash Luther.

Brocton senior Kadin Ehmke and junior Aiden Gatto, Chautauqua Lake junior Nolan Olson and freshman Nate Henry, Westfield junior Carter Russo, Cassadaga Valley senior Braden LeBaron and Pine Valley senior George Kruszka rounded out the First Team.

Westfield was honored with the Team Sportsmanship Award.

Senior Draven DeJesus, juniors Vincent Sanfilippo and Harrison Eckert, and sophomores Aiden Gruber and Daniel Peterson represented Frewsburg on the Second Team.

Seniors Gabe Roth, Dylan Michael and Blake Kopta were joined by junior Kaden Beckerink as Wolfpack on the Second Team.

Maple Grove seniors Conner Reagle and Adam Brisky were joined by sophomore Cam Lombardo on the Second Team.

Brocton juniors Grant Gustafson and Damion Franklin, Chautauqua Lake senior Lawson Ormsby and freshman Devin Hewes, Westfield junior Aaron Fuller, Cassadaga Valley junior Calvin Hilliker and Pine Valley senior Jaiden Miller rounded out the Second Team.
