Wolfpack Rolls Cougars In Flag Football
MAYVILLE — The Clymer/Sherman/Panama girls flag football team bounced back on Saturday against Cassadaga Valley with a 39-12 win at Chautauqua Lake Central School in the Chautauqua County League.
Clymer/Sherman/Panama (2-1) was led by Aurora Ordines in the backfield, rushing for 135 yards on eight carries and punching in two touchdowns. Cora Goldberg also reached the end zone twice, once through the air and once on the ground. Goldberg finished with 46 yards on two rushes and one catch for 40 yards.
Kiersten Olson finished with a passing touchdown and a rushing score for the Wolfpack, finishing 3 for 5 with 47 yards through the air and then 2 for 52 yards on the ground. Janelle Burchanowski added another score on the ground as she racked up 96 yards on six attempts. Hayden Fisher added two 2-point conversions, both through the air, as she finished with three catches for 9 yards.
Cassadaga Valley (0-3) faced a tough Wolfpack defense led by Burchanowski with five tackles and a sack. The Wolfpack pulled in three interceptions with Paige Gratto, Brandy Safford and Haley Odell each having a pick.
