Following are Week 3 results of the Northwest Arena Spring Backyard Curling Leagues, sponsored by Dot’s Gift Boutique.

5:45 DOT’S GIFT BOUTIQUE SPRING LEAGUE

Zach Muntz rocketed Cold Beer Here into first place, squeaking by Girls with Stones (41-35) and defeating previously top-seeded We Love Beer (43-28). Mike Stevenson brought some life force to Gren’s Growlers. They turned their season 180 degrees with two dominant wins over Cold Stones (43-24) and Drunken Sliders (37-25). Lahna Tolbert laid up the game winner for Hack Attack to complete the (37-34) comeback against Curling me Softly. Liz Hinderleider was a force to be reckoned with as usual. She piloted Hindy’s Hurlers to a (33-22) takedown of Curl Jam. Andy Horner responded well for Curl Jam as it gave Hack Attack a taste of its own medicine, putting up 17 in the final two ends to post a (43-40) win. Mark Arnold and Cold Stones remain under the radar, but have proven they can compete with the best. They blew the gates open in a (35-23) victory against Girls with Stones. Curling Me Softly went stone for stone with We Love Beer, and eventually walked out with a (47-46) stunner. Greg Fye delivered the game-deciding shot. Ned Baudo and Drunken Sliders acquired their first in the win column after a (44-43) showdown with Hindy’s Hurlers.

6:45 DOT’S GIFT BOUTIQUE SPRING LEAGUE

Treba Dalrymple made a statement for Double Vision & Co. After a (34-22) thrashing of the Sliders, it notched a quality victory against Perfect Stones (36-35). Ryan Dalaba and 12 oz. Curlers had to grind it out in a battle for first place. They held on versus Rand Machine (33-32). Rand Machine got the gears turning in the second slate to topple Sour Pickles (32-28) Andy Matteson captained the effort. Jamie Allenson put on a curling clinic for The Rolling Stones. They took it to Tracey’s Dog (46-36). Annie Chartrand was absolutely dialed in for Rock Blockers. They survived a late comeback from The Rolling Stones to come away with a (28-27) nailbiter in their favor. Greg Jackson and his Sliders can breathe a sigh of relief after their first win. They cannot be slept on after a (36-27) eye-catching performance against Tracey’s Dog.
