McCleery Is Outstanding Swimmer Of The Meet At ECIC D1 Championships

BUFFALO — Aidan McCleery shined for the Jamestown/Falconer boys swim team at the Erie County Interscholastic Conference Division 1 swimming championships as one of two double-winners at the event to earn the Outstanding Swimmer of the Meet award. McCleery took first in the 50 freestyle with a time of 22.28 and then he won the 100 freestyle at 48.91.

Jamestown/Falconer finished in 10th place with a score of 122, while Orchard Park took first with 368 points.

Conner Dean was just beat out as a double-winner as he took second in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:46.73 to Jaxon Bruzgul of Orchard Park’s 1:46.14. Dean did earn a win for Jamestown/Falconer in the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:50.36 which is good for a trip to states.

Joining Dean in the 500 freestyle was Owen Slojkowski making his first Sectional Class A Championship cut with a time of 5:50.29 and Jack Osborne improved his standing for the class meet with a time of 5:32.23.

Next week the Red Raiders will swim at the Section VI Class A meet in Clarence.
