OLEAN — Frewsburg/Southwestern took first place in 11 of 12 events to claim the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association boys swimming and diving championship with 121.7 points Friday at Olean Middle School.

Dunkirk/Fredonia/Forestville finished second with 108.7 points, including three second-place finishes and a first-place finish, while Panama/Maple Grove/Chautauqua Lake was third with 63.9 points and Olean/Allegany-Limestone/Frankinville was fourth with 59.6 points.

Logan Hren, Grady Moore and Gannon Moore were all double winners for Frewsburg/Southwestern.

Hren captured the 200-yard freestyle (1:51.37) and 500-yard freestyle (4:54.4); Grady Moore claimed the 200-yard individual medley (2:10.21) and 100-yard butterfly (54.02); and Gannon Moore took the 100-yard freestyle (47.92) and 100-yard backstroke (55.58).

Frewsburg/Southwestern’s Alexander Pitts won the 1-meter diving competition with 455 points and teammate Brady Lindstrom won the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:03.28.

Dunkirk/Fredonia/Forestville’s Adam Fred was the only other individual winner, taking the 50-yard freestyle in 22.27 seconds. Fred also took second in the 100-yard freestyle.

Landon Frederes picked up a pair of second-place finishes for Frewsburg/Southwestern in the 200-yard individual medley and 100-yard backstroke. Noah Collins also had a pair of seconds for the Trojan Bears in the 200-yard freestyle and 500-yard freestyle.

Dunkirk/Fredonia/Forestville’s 200-yard medley relay team set a new program record with its second-place finish in 1:45.06, while its 400-yard freestyle relay also finished second with a program-record time of 3:32.25.
