Portville Wins Key East Division Contest

PORTVILLE — Michael Cole scored from Brady German in the 12th minute of overtime as Portville picked up a key Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association East Division boys soccer victory 1-0 over Randolph.

Kyle Senn made four saves for the Cardinals (9-4-0, 5-3-0) and Troy VanSickle made three saves for the Panthers (9-3-1, 6-1-1).

GOLDEN COUGARS COAST

FALCONER — Five different goal scorers helped Falconer/Cassadaga Valley beat Pine Valley/Gowanda 6-1 in East Division action.

The Golden Cougars (7-5-1, 5-2-1) went up 1-0 on an own goal in the second minute before Christian Wilshire made it 2-0 from Nate Case in the 23rd minute. Ethyn Gilbert’s tally from Adam Dossey made it 3-0 in the 27th minute and that was the halftime score.

After the break, Roger Markham scored from Alex Reynolds, Dossey scored from Gilbert and Haydn Myers scored from Calvin Hilliker.

Matthew Hostetter scored from Noah Frontuto in the 74th minute for Pine Valley/Gowanda (1-12-0, 1-7-0).

EBERSOLE NETS HAT TRICK

NORTH COLLINS — Derek Ebersole scored all three of North Collins’ goals in a 3-2 Central Division win over Frewsburg.

Matthew Warsaw assisted on two of Ebersole’s goals for the Eagles (4-5-1, 2-5-0).

Garrett Brink scored from Zack Carr before Carr scored from Brink for the Bears (4-5-2, 2-4-1).

GATORS BLANK DUNKIRK

ALLEGANY — Allegany-Limestone led 4-0 at halftime en route to a 7-0 West Division victory over Dunkirk.

Eric Spring finished with four goals and an assist; Henry Brairton had a goal and an assist; Dylan Loiacono and CJ Ellison each had a goal; Zach Luce had two assists; and Ryan Roulo and Zach Burnett each had one assist for the Gators (10-3-0, 8-0-0).

The Marauders fell to 1-11-0 overall and 0-8-0 in the league.

JAMESTOWN TIES OLEAN

OLEAN — Jamestown led for a large majority of the game, but settled for a 1-1 tie with Olean in West Division action.

Tyler Maloney gave the Red Raiders (4-8-1, 2-5-1) a 1-0 lead on a penalty kick just 54 seconds into the game.

With 10:53 remaining, Quintin Allen tied the game for the Huskies (1-11-1, 1-6-1).

Logan McIntosh made nine saves for Jamestown.

EDWARDS SHINES FOR EAGLES

ELLICOTTVILLE — Sam Edwards had four goals and two assists to lead Ellicottville to a 7-1 East Division victory over Salamanca/Cattaraugus-Little Valley.

Aiden Harrington and Owen Doherty each had a goal and two assists; Maddox Johnson had a goal; and William Benatovich had an assist for the Eagles (7-3-1, 6-2-0).

The WarWolves fell to 0-13-0 overall and 0-8-0 in the league.
