Elizabeth Pucci-Schaefer will once again be headed to the New York State Diving State Championships to represent the Fredonia/Pine Valley girls swim team.

On Saturday, Pucci-Schaefer took first place at the Iroquois Central School Diving Invitational with a score 503.50 and just needing 440 points to qualify for her fourth state championships. Pucci-Schaefer also set the new 11 dive pool record at Iroquois Central School.

Finishing behind Pucci-Schaefer was Fredonia/Pine Valley teammate Leah Marsh, while Southwestern/Jamestown’s Ashlynn Swan took third place.
