Portville Overpowers Cardinals

RANDOLPH — Meghan Lyle and Grace Gariepy each scored twice as Portville beat Randolph 5-0 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association East Division action Tuesday at Weeden Park.

The Cardinals were unable to clear a goal kick in the seventh minute. Hailey Linn stole the ball before finding Lyle, whose shot glanced off the Randolph keeper’s hand into the corner of the goal.

In the 30th minute, Gariepy stole a ball inside the 18-yard box and beat the keeper inside the post for a 2-0 lead. Less than three minutes later, Allison Smith lofted a short shot over the keeper for a 3-0 lead.

After halftime, Lyle scored her second of the game on a long shot in the 43rd minute and Gariepy closed the scoring in the 59th minute from Courtney Whippo.

Mackenzie Harmon made six saves to earn the clean sheet for the Panthers (7-2-0, 6-0-0).

Stella Smith made six saves for Randolph (6-3-0, 5-2-0).

RED DRAGONS TIE EAGLES

BEMUS POINT — North Collins and Maple Grove played 100 minutes, but neither could find the range in a 0-0 Division 2 West matchup.

Megan McGee made six saves to earn the clean sheet for the Red Dragons (1-7-1, 1-3-1).

Meadow Mitchell earned the clean sheet for the Eagles (1-4-2, 1-2-2).

BEARS ROLL PAST BLACK KNIGHTS

FREWSBURG — Five different Frewsburg players scored in the first half en route to a 9-0 Division 2 West victory over Silver Creek/Forestville.

Jacey Cappa scored from Taytum Jimerson in the 13th minute, Ashlyn Samuelson scored from Cappa in the 14th minute, Alexandra Hultberg scored in the 18th minute, Ava Jimerson scored from Taytum Jimerson in the 28th minute and Mackenzie Martin scored from Kealy Caflisch in the 29th minute for the Bears (9-0-0, 4-0-0).

After the break, Kaydan Bush scored from Molly Spontaneo, Aleah Bjork scored from Ava Jimerson, Hultberg scored from Ava Jimerson and Gracie Conlan scored from Hultberg.

The Black Knights fell to 0-9-1 overall and 0-5-0 in the league.

T’BIRDS EARN CLEAN SHEET

MAYVILLE — Chautauqua Lake scored a goal in each half to beat Westfield/Brocton 2-0 in Division 2 West action.

Jada Cole scored from Savannah Horvath in the seventh minute before Taylor Donato tallied from Paige Zarpentine in the 53rd minute.

Lucille Gates made four saves to earn the clean sheet for the Thunderbirds (5-1-1, 3-1-1).

Emma Busuladzic made 13 saves for the Wolverines (5-4-0, 3-1-0).

OLEAN BLANKS GOLDEN COUGARS

FALCONER — Emily Gibbons scored the lone goal in the 55th minute to send Olean past Falconer/Cassadaga Valley 1-0 in Division 1 West play.

Emma Edwards made five saves to earn the clean sheet for the Huskies (5-4-0, 3-3-0).

The Golden Cougars fell to 5-4-0 overall and 3-3-0 in the league.

T’WOLVES DOWN FRANKLINVILLE

FRANKLINVILLE — Kora Sentz broke a 0-0 halftime deadlock to send Cattaraugus-Little Valley to a 2-0 East Division win.

Sentz scored from Rebekah Butcher in the 55th minute before adding her second goal of the game in the 78th minute.

Onalee Osgood made six saves to earn the clean sheet for the Timberwolves (5-3-0, 3-3-0).

The Panthers fell to 0-7-0 overall and 0-6-0 in the league.

ELLICOTTVILLE BREEZES 10-0

SOUTH DAYTON — Ellicottville led 6-0 at halftime en route to a 10-0 East Division victory over Pine Valley/Gowanda.

Aaliyah Winslow scored in the 22nd minute, 29th minute and 37th minute to complete a first-half hat trick. Audrey Hurlburt, Katie Bless and Alysa Williams also scored in the opening 40 minutes for the Eagles (5-5-0, 5-1-0).

After halftime, Hurlburt and Jayden Doutt added goals.

Hurlburt, Cameron Kaleta, Ryah Quinn, Winslow, Drew Ficek, Williams, Madison Potter and Brooke Butler each had an assist. Abbie Chudy made one save for the clean sheet.

Arryanna Bardo made 13 saves for the Panthers (0-9-0, 0-5-0).

SOUTHWESTERN PULLS AWAY

WEST ELLICOTT — Southwestern pulled away with a six-goal second half en route to an 8-1 Division 1 West victory over Dunkirk.

Lexi Lundmark scored from Kaylyn Carnes and Avery Casselman tallied from Joslyn Brown in the opening 40 minutes for the Trojans (4-6-0, 2-4-0).

After the break, Sophia Segrue, Ellie Pearson, Carnes, Brown, Ellie Giltinan and Abbey Galati found the back of the net.

Braya Beaver and Segrue combined for four saves in net.

The Marauders fell to 3-6-0 overall and 0-5-0 in the league.
