Jamestown Places 5 On West Division All-Stars

Five Jamestown Tarp Skunks have been selected as Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League midseason all-star award recipients.
Those players, representing the West Division, are infielder Cody Bey, outfielders Will Dorrell and Yogie Hartigan, catcher Johnny Kampes and pitcher Eric Crouse.
They are among 56 players — 28 from the East Division and 28 from the West Division — to be so honored. All 16 organizations are represented by at least two players. Honorees were chosen by the league’s administration based on statistics from the first month of the season.
Both midseason all-star teams consist of two catchers, eight infielders, six outfielders, two designated hitter/utility players and 10 pitchers.
Amsterdam has eight selections, followed by Batavia and Jamestown with five apiece. Utica and Oneonta have four each.
Following are the statistics for Jamestown’s honorees:
Batting .301 (31 of 103), Bey has five doubles, a triple and 16 RBIs, has walked 27 times and stolen a team-high 14 bases; Dorrell is hitting .333 (25 of 75) with two doubles, a triple, a team-high 22 RBIs, and has 10 stolen bases; Hartigan sports a .345 batting average (29 of 84) with a double, a triple, seven RBIs and 12 stolen bases; Kampes is batting .259 (21 of 81) with a home run, six doubles and 19 RBIs; and Crouse, who has a 1-0 record, five saves and a 2.87 earned run average, has struck out 20 and walked eight in 15 2/3 innings pitched.
The remaining West Division all-stars include: catcher Levis Aguila; infielders Tyler Cannoe of Batavia, Payton Eeles of Niagara, Ryan Enos of Utica, Ferenando Espinal of Newark, Brian Fry of Batavia, Hazel Martinez of Newark and Dewey Roden of Utica; outfielders Cadyn Karl, Ben Sinins of Niagara and Aaron Whitley of Newark; designated hitter/utility Nick Serce of Geneva and Frank Wayman of Elmira; and pitchers Chris Auclair and Ryan Bailey of Auburn, Tristan Ciampa of Elmira, Evan Esch of Utica, Josh Milleville and Nolan Sparks of Batavia, Nicholas Thompson and Augie Walters of Geneva and Jack Zupfer of Utica.
The East Division all-stars include: catchers Mark Black of Amersterdam and Max Gebauer of Albany; infielders Devin Boone of Oneonta, Brett Coker of Amsterdam, Brandon Fish of Saugerties, Jacob Hand of Amsterdam, Gage Miller of Amsterdam, Garrett Musey of Mohawk Valley, Scott Seeker of Booneville and David Silva Jr. of Albany; outfielders Evan Berta of Mohawk Valley, Dylan Broderick of Oneonta, Pete Durocher of Mohawk Valley, Zach Gardiner of Amsterdam, Phillip Krpata of Glens Falls and Ellis Schwartz of Watertown; designated hitter/utility Tyree Bradley of Watertown and Dan Tauken of Booneville; and pitchers Coulson Buchana of Saugerties, Cade Citelli of Amsterdam, Daniel Cohen of Glens Falls, Christian Coombes of Oneonta, Jacob Dannenberg of Boonville, Aidan Kidd of Amsterdam, Arlo Marynczak of Albany, Luis Misla of Amsterdam, James Reilly of Saugerties and Tyler Sausville of Oneonta.
Traditional all-star festivities will not be held, but the PGCBL wanted to recognize players who have performed exceedingly well during the first half of the summer season.
