Michael Butterfield, Nate Lewis and Dontae Hoose all won two individual events as Southwestern downed Jamestown 102-39 in a Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association track & field meet at a chilly Strider Field on Tuesday.
Butterfield claimed the 100 meters (11.2) and 200 meters (23.5); Lewis the 1,600 meters (4:55.2) and 3,200 meters (10:23); and Hoose the shot put (38-7.5) and discus (109-0).
For Jamestown, Christian Pumford won the 110-meter hurdles (18.4).
Freshman Maddy Burgess and senior Morgan Torrey both won two events to propel Jamestown’s girls to a 76-64 victory over Southwestern at Strider Field.
Burgess claimed the 100 meters (13.1) and 200 meters (27.4), and was a member of the victorious 400-meter and 1,600-meter relays.

Torrey, meanwhile, captured the shot put (29-0) and discus (84-0) as the Red Raiders improved to 2-1.
“Our girls team is very young this season,” Jamestown coach Cristin Hockenberry said. “Between being a young team and the challenges track and field faced the last two years, it’s an exciting time to be back competing. Our girls are excited to learn this sport and are excited for each other. They’re learning all the basics of track and field as we work to build our team together. It’s a fun time to be a Red Raider.”
For the Trojans, Emma Lewis doubled in the 1,500 meters (5:22) and 800 meters (2:39).
