Southwestern Second At Portville Invitational

PORTVILLE — Dakota Mascho won the 160-pound title to lead Portville to the team title at the 46th annual Portville Invitational Wrestling Tournament on Saturday.

Mekhi Muhyee (102 pounds), Kaedon Holcomb (152 pounds) and Hayden Emley (215 pounds) all took second place for the Panthers, who finished with 181 points.

Southwestern was second with 174 points, led by 102-pound champion Carmine Calimeri, 110-pound champion Kenji Walter, 189-pound champion Tavio Hoose and 285-pound champion Dontae Hoose. Brayden Potter (172 pounds) was second for the Trojans. Bohdan Wendel (138 pounds) and Peter Conley (215 pounds) were third and Ryan Chapman (138 pounds) was fifth.

Jamestown was third with 153.5 points, led by second-place Connor Bush (110 pounds). Aiden Senear (110 pounds) and Carsen Bane (160 pounds) were third; Skylynn Tomlinson (102 pounds), Keith Miller (152 pounds) and Caleb Bane (285 pounds) were fourth; and Tyler Zwald (118 pounds) and Hunter Meabon (126 pounds) were fifth.

Randolph was fourth with 152 points, led by 118-pound champion Domanik Clark and 138-pound champion Joseph Nottingham. Clayton Crouse (132 pounds) and Ryan Carpenter (285 pounds) were second for the Cardinals. Caden Inkley (126 pounds) was third; Luke Pagett (189 pounds) was fourth; and Parker Paterson (102 pounds), Dallas Green (110 pounds) and Vince Migliore (126 pounds) were sixth.

Maple Grove was fifth with 145.5 points, led by 126-pound champion Mason Kraft and 152-pound champion Luke Tomlinson. Kynan Egan (145 pounds) and Matthew Trim (189 pounds) were second for the Red Dragons; Luke Baer (132 pounds) was third; Kolden McCall (215 pounds) was fourth; and Caleb Plette (132 pounds) was sixth.

Falconer/Cassadaga Valley was seventh with 99 points, led by 172-pound champion Devyn Morrison. Dylan Newman (102 pounds) was third; Evan Newman (102 pounds), Brayden McCarthy (110 pounds), Charlie Reichenbach (145 pounds) and Bryant Morrison (160 pounds) were fifth; and Riley Best (118 pounds) was sixth for the Golden Cougars.

Salamanca was 10th with 59 points, led by 132-pound champion Konner Spring. Keegan Hardy (285 pounds) was sixth for the Warriors.

Frewsburg was 12th with 36 points, led by third-place Quinlan Smathers (138 pounds), and fifth-place Jon Alianell (172 pounds) and Jamison Caldwell (189 pounds).
