Cardinals Dominate Class D All-Stars
Hind Is Player Of The Year, Huntington Is Defensive POY, Brown Is Top Coach

Section VI Class D postseason and regular-season champion Randolph was well represented on the league’s all-star team announced recently.
Cardinals junior running back Xander Hind was named the league’s Player of the Year after rushing for 1,462 yards and 20 touchdowns.
Hind’s junior teammate Jaiden Huntington was named the league’s Defensive Player of the Year after making 66 tackles, including 50 solo, while intercepting two passes and picking up a sack.
Cardinals junior Ryan Carpenter was named the league’s Offensive Lineman of the Year as he led an offensive line that led the way to 2,756 yards and 43 touchdowns on the ground.
Randolph’s Brent Brown was named the league’s Coach of the Year after the Cardinals finished 9-0 and earned the No. 1 seed for the postseason.

Other Cardinals on the league’s First Team were senior fullback Luke Pagett, junior defensive lineman Dillon Schrader, junior defensive end Sterling Skye and senior defensive back Josh Bush.
Franklinville/Ellicottville senior quarterback Lucas Marsh was named the league’s Offensive Player of the Year after completing 77 passes for 1,254 yards and 23 touchdowns while rushing for 269 yards and three touchdowns.
Marsh was joined on the First Team by senior wide receiver Logan Grinols, senior offensive lineman Ethan Frank and senior defensive end Caleb Ploetz.
Clymer/Sherman/Panama senior Justin Massing was named the league’s Defensive Lineman of the Year after picking up 67 tackles, including 34 solo and 16 for a loss, to go along with a sack and three forced fumbles.
Members of the Wolfpack joining Massing on the league’s First Team were junior running back Trent Burchanowski, senior wide receiver Micah Willink, senior offensive lineman Kyle Ryan, senior defensive end TreyVon Kopta and freshman defensive back Bryce Hinsdale.
Cattaraugus-Little Valley was awarded the Team Sportsmanship Award with senior Paul Tackentien the Timberwolves’ Individual Sportsmanship Award winner.
Cattaraugus-Little Valley senior linebacker Gage Furl, Silver Creek/Forestville senior offensive lineman Jonah Fox and Portville linebackers junior Zander Keim, junior Caiden Zollinger and sophomore Kaedon Holcomb rounded out the First Team.
Pagett, C/S/P’s Kurtis Olson, Frank, Portville’s Luke Petryszak, Silver Creek/Forestville’s Hunter Larson and Cattaraugus-Little Valley’s John Visnesky made up the league’s Scholar Team.
