Randolph Shuts Out Pine Valley/Gowanda

RANDOLPH — All of the scoring was done in the first half as Randolph shut out Pine Valley/Gowanda 3-0 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association East Division girls soccer Wednesday evening.

Kyra Pence opened the scoring from Samantha English in the seventh minute for the Cardinals (8-6-1, 8-3-0). Piper Keyes added a goal from Alice Robinson in the 38th minute before Pence tallied from Caliana Wheeler in the 39th minute.

Caitlin Park made just one save in the shutout for Randolph.

Pine Valley fell to 3-10-2 overall and 3-8-1 in the league.

GOLDEN COUGARS TIE GATORS

FALCONER — Michaela Olson’s second goal of the game, scored in the 76th minute, allowed Falconer/Cassadaga Valley to forge a 2-2 tie with Allegany-Limestone in the West Division.

Olson opened the scoring in the 17th minute from Tess Spangenburg, but the Gators (8-5-2, 8-1-2) tied the game in the 30th minute as Olivia Paterniti scored from Addie Fisher.

Payton Fortuna gave Allegany-Limestone a 2-1 lead in the 63rd minute from Fisher, but Olson tied the game from Lynn with less than five minutes remaining in regulation for the Golden Cougars (5-5-3, 4-3-3).

Kesley Riordan was in net for the Gators and Grace Lundmark was the goalkeeper for Falconer/Cassadaga Valley.

HILLBILLIES SHUT OUT JAMESTOWN

FREDONIA — Fredonia shut out Jamestown 2-0 to clinch the West Division title at SUNY Fredonia.

Annie Gondek scored from Ava Rukavina and Claire Marshall scored from Emma Patterson for the Hillbillies.

Fredonia (14-0-1) improved to 10-0-1 in the division with just Friday’s matchup with Falconer/Cassadaga Valley at SUNY Fredonia remaining on the schedule. Allegany-Limestone is 8-1-2 in the division with Friday’s game against Jamestown remaining, but the Hillbillies already have a win and a tie against the Gators.

The Red Raiders fell to 2-12-0 overall and 0-10-0 in the league.

CRAIG EARNS SHUTOUT

Kasie Craig made seven saves in net for the shutout as Maple Grove beat Silver Creek/Forestville 3-0 in the Central Division.

All three of the Red Dragons’ goals came in the second half.

Megan Baer scored from Alex Caldwell in the 64th minute before Madilyn Seastrum scored in the 70th minute and Courtney Martin scored in the 79th minute.

Maple Grove improved to 7-4-1 overall and 6-2-1 in the league.

Silver Creek/Forestville fell to 4-7-1 overall and 1-6-1 in the league.

PORTVILLE BLANKS WARRIORS

SALAMANCA — Mia Welty and Courtney Lyle each had a goal and an assist as Portville shut out Salamanca 2-0 in the East Division.

Welty scored from Lyle in the 10th minute and Lyle tallied from Welty in the 20th minute for the Panthers (14-1-0, 11-0-0).

Makenzie Oakes made 21 saves for the Warriors (1-15-0, 0-12-0).

T’WOLVES EDGE FRANKLINVILLE

CATTARAUGUS — A goal in each half sent Cattaraugus-Little Valley past Franklinville 2-0 in the East Division.

Madison Spink scored in the sixth minute before Amelie Metzger scored from Evelyn Janora in the 68th minute for the Timberwolves (5-9-2, 5-6-1). Onalee Osgood made three saves in the shutout.

The Panthers fell to 4-12-0 overall and 3-9-0 in the league.

YOUNG LEADS NORTH COLLINS

WESTFIELD — Lina Young had a goal and an assist as North Collins blanked Westfield/Brocton 2-0 in the Central Division.

Jaylee Jimerson also scored for the Eagles (8-6-1, 4-5-0). Michaela Rice made eight saves in the shutout.

The Wolverines fell to 0-11-1 overall and 0-9-1 in the league.
