Jamestown High School’s junior varsity football team completed its regular season unbeaten following a 36-0 shutout of Amherst last Friday at Strider Field.

Keith Miller led the Red Raiders (7-0) with 173 yards on eight carries and a pair of touchdowns. Carsen Bane (8-98-1), Gavin Pantojas (3-36-1) and Terrell Reese (15-yard TD) also contributed to the dominant ground attack.

Miller tacked on a pair of point-after kicks and Sam Arrington chipped in a two-point conversion run.

Arrington led the way defensively for the winners, collecting six tackles for loss, including two sacks. Other contributors on that side of the ball were Pantojas (six tackles, including five for loss, one sack and a forced fumble); Bane (six tackles, including three for loss, and a sack); Reese (three tackles, including one for loss, and a fumble recovery); and Connor Bush and Donovan Hubbard (five tackles apiece).

Jamestown will be back in action Saturday when they travel to Lockport of an 11 a.m. “extra game,” its final game of the season.
