Greater Chautauqua FCU/Trinity Biotech Captures Volleyball Title In Battle Of Businesses
In Monday’s YMCA Battle of the Businesses action, the Small Division teams competed in volleyball while the Large Division battled in the Expresso bike relay and curling.
In Small Division volleyball at the Jamestown YMCA, Greater Chautauqua Federal Credit Union/Trinity Biotech defeated GA Family Services at Lutheran while Rehabilitation Specialists/CES went home in third place.
Nick Spry and Dan Krenzer of Falconer Central Schools biked the fastest (11:15.00) in the Expresso bike relay at the Jamestown YMCA. Titan X and The Resource Center cycled to second and third place, respectively.
Titan X’s foursome of Nathan Abers, Mike Wilson, Frank Perrone and Sam Stewart withstood the Northwest Arena chill to claim the first-place curling spot for the Large Division. They beat second-place finisher Frewsburg Central School with a final 16-13 score.
Falconer took the third place win.
Falconer (650) and JBA (375) remain the Battle leaders in the Large and Small Divisions.
Today’s Battle events are the Small Division curling event at Northwest Arena at 6 p.m. and the predicted mile walk at Falconer Central School at 6 p.m. for both divisions.
