Falconer Central Schools, JBA Teams Take Y Battle
Falconer Central Schools won the Large Division title with 1,475 points while Jamestown Bar Association/City Court took the Small Division with 1,310 points in the 33rd annual YMCA Battle of the Businesses.
Here are the first-place results of the six individual events held Saturday at the Richard O. Hartley Park in Lakewood listed by large then small division:
2-Mile Run: Falconer, JBA
Sailing Boat Race (new event): TitanX Engine Cooling, Rehabilitation Specialists/CES
Corn Hole: Falconer, JBA
Scavenger Hunt: Falconer, Chautauqua Hospice
Talent Show (bonus event): UPMC Chautauqua, Greater Chautauqua Federal Credit Union/Trinity Biotech
Cake Decorating Contest: (bonus event): Chautauqua County Government, GCFCU/Trinity Biotech
The TitanX Engine Cooling squad won the YMCA Battle Sportsmanship/Team Spirit Award while Bush Industries’ Amy Hook was the recipient of the YMCA Battle Team Captain Award.
The Battle was sponsored by Bluecross BlueShield of Western New York, Greater Chautauqua Federal Credit Union and Eventz by Scott.
